Barclays Mortgage Timeline 2022

Our valuation is taking place today 8/6 (in person). We have been told by Barclays that we have passed affordability and our mortgage is approved subject to valuation. 

does anyone have any insight into how long it might take from valuation to offer? How long does it take for the surveyors to feedback to Barclays.

Mine came back the day after valuation with approval and documents were the next day

That’s really great to hear, thank you! We weren’t sure if we’d have to wait a week or so for the valuation surveyor to pass on its report to Barclays. Fingers are crossed it’s as quick as yours!

That's quick! My valuation happened yesterday ( 7 Jun ), still waiting for my case manager to response.

It was 5 days for us

17 May : Application submitted by broker
17 May : Hard searches and soft searches show on credit file
24 May : Request more doc, signed declaration form.
30 May : Request more ID ( passport, as I only provided driving license initially )
1 Jun : Valuation book for 07/06
7 Jun : Valuation
8 Jun : Valuation approved, the case is with Barclays KYC team. My case manager mention the SLA is 5 days before they finalise the offer.

From valuation, IF all okay then the Barclays time frame is around 5 working days to offer. On the evening of the valuation day, or the day after check the TRACK IT for any updates. 

On the evening of my valuation, TRACK IT updated and said it was all fine and approved. Then it took about 4/5 working days to get a offer out.

We finally got confirmation from solicitors and Broker that our offer has been issued.  track it has also been updated. 

We are buying a new build with HTB. Mortgage with Barclays, below is our time line: 

-Reserved on the 1/05/22

-Applied for ATP on the 8/05/22

-Mortgage application submitted on the 9/05/22 

-ATP received on- 16/05/22

-further info requested -25/05/22

-Valuation - 06/06/22

-confirmation of Mortgage offer received- 08/06/22

We have been told our offer is in the post - so relieved and excited! 

Posting our timeline here in case helpful for others: 

17/5 - mortgage broker completed Barclays application 

25/5 - Barclays requested more information, provided same day

27/5 - valuation booked 

8/6 - in person valuation completed

9/6 - mortgage broker informed us offer is out and in the post
