A newspaper company renound for reposting articles across multiple "regional" newspapers with a few words changed, on pages with dozens of adverts and in some cases 50+ tracking cookies. Hmm, I would not let their content carry any weight.

It probably does, but most of the participants have something sensible to contribute or learn from it rather than the mindless rubbish that seems to be promulgated on many of the other recognised "social" sites use by the twittertwats.

It is never going to work off peak is it if the grid knows it is coming, maybe if everyone in the entire country could pull 60A at 6 PM, then drop to zero at 10 past, back to 60A at 6:15 etc. we might have a chance.

I suppose simply commanding the smart meters to all switch off at 6PM might do it

Thats only because this site is very narrow on what you can talk about. When it did have a open discussion board you got mindless rubbish as well as good discussion just like Twitter

It's not about saving it's about making some sort of protest because of rising costs. When you have a 50% rise and possible 40% rise in Oct its understandable more people will get frustrated
