However, first, I suggest you contact the Forum Team to urgently change your username if that's your real name?!Get it changed if that's your name! PPCs read this forum as we are so damn good at what we do.
To help with that, have a read of this item from the Forum's FAQs:Can I change my username?
In most circumstances, we don't allow this.
The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk e.g. you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something which gives away your identity within your username.
If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com your current username, the email address you registered with and three alternative usernames in order of preference.

The manager has since left and is uncontactable, like most other staff at the time, this was all before the pandemic and everyone went to work from home during and left.

They want mediation on such a large amount ?Saskiaearnshaw said:
Okay so I haven’t received my questionnaire yet, so haven’t been given the choice of mediation, I have a copy of there’s and they obviously want mediation.Coupon-mad said:Can you answer my questions please? We'll help.
DCBL know they are scamming you and that a judge will spank them. They know that mediation will involve someone who does not have a clue about the great parking scam .... and that's why you do not agree to mediation. Might as well be talking to ET
Tell us more about the manager who collected the £5 each month.
was he actually part of the firm or was he a warden for Excel.
Either way, what happened to the money we wonder. Can you remember his name ?
You say the tickets were £60 .... was that the ticket price or a discounted price if paid within 7 days
YOU DO NOT OWE ... £1.5k ..DCBL ARE SCAMMING YOU
So we have a clear picture, kindly show us the breakdown of their claim.0 -
This is the letter I was sent x

£1120 for 7 tickets .
YOUNG LADY, YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED
The normal charge per ticket is £100 and that is £700
That means they have added£60 per ticket which they call damages
If as you say they were £60 then that is £420 and that would make it £100 fake add-on per ticket
They are saying that the amount claimed is £1370.40 ..... so, an extra £250.40 has also been added. They claim interest @ 8% per annum ..... Even though they quote the county courts act 1984 .... interest rates in 2019 to now are nothing like that and 99% of this rubbish, judges will dismiss
They say the contract allows them to add damages ? They refer to the signs and I very much doubt in 2019 the signs said that. Google street view for the dates of the ticket s and if possible capture the signs
The next question is do Excel have the landowners permission to operate and issue tickets and take people to court ?
The final part of the claim form is the person (who know who it is) who has signed a statement of truth which is not true because there is no such thing as DAMAGES, it is a feeble way that DCBL attempt to extort money ... the courts are much wiser than DCBL
The new government code of practice clearly states that such fake add-ons are BANNED
You can include your ex company as a witness if you wish as I'm sure a judge will want to know where all those £5 went to and in whose pocket
You have some work to do and with the help here you'll be fine

So I cant find the old signage from 2019, I can only find a picture of the new sign they have up, I also have an email here from Vehicle control services? Is that Excel? Because now the claims with DCB, it’s so confusing to me, you can also see it look over 11 months for them to make a decision, absolute chancers. Do you think they will even turn up to court?patient_dream said:£1120 for 7 tickets .

You have some work to do and with the help here you'll be fineAlso, the money was being paid for over a year, I don’t doubt that the money was being paid to the car park, nobody had issues before this incident, but I do believe there must have been some sort of poor communication or error between the car park and my employer for this to happen, which is not at all my fault, I was 18 years old, I didn’t even think to ask for a receipt! I can’t seem to find the landowner details anywhere0

VCS are a sister company of Excel and both are entities in their own right with different company numbers ? We have seen this before and never can entities claim one against each other
The worry about DCBL is that they don't know what they are doing but, a court does.
DCBL were recently badly spanked in court because of this and it cost VCS £1000
I can only find a picture of the new sign they have up
Can you please post that picture ?
I am not sure why you think all those £5 were passed to the parking company .... this is scam industry ?

Here’s the sign in the car park now, I only believe the money was handed over as it was always known there was an agreement between sitel and the car park for X amount of spaces to be used by sitel personnel and this had been the case for years and no charges given, my money had always seemed to do what it was supposed to do once handed over and that’s avoid parking charges. I also don’t understand why they are 7 random days when I was there everyday?
