  • Absolute bargain for this machine. We have one (older model) and it's been used every day for the last 5 years. Makes fantastic bread at around 35p per loaf using organic flour. The bread keeps well. Just as an aside, I always find it's easier to slice if you can leave it sitting on a wire rack overnight before slicing.

How easy is it to make - do I just get to throw ingridients in and come back later?

and how long does it take?

    thanks.

Very easy, yes you just throw the ingredients in and come back later. Our older model makes an excellent 50/50 wholemeal/white flour loaf in 5 hours. The all white loaf is quicker.

Fan-blimmin-tastic! :D our old one has after many years given up being onn stick so we've ended up with crustless loaves ;) Was dreading a big chunk of outlay but since its chrimbo coming up dad will get this :D

  • How easy are they to clean? Do they have lots of little pieces?

Best not to clean thoroughly unless you're making dough - a bit of bread/dough stuck in the paddle is good because it stops it from wearing!

The pan is very easy to clean - totally non-stick, just wipe it with a cloth when you're finished.

My older model has just the outer case/machine, an inner pan that you put your ingredients in, and a little removable paddle that fits in the bottom of the pan.
