That's a great price for anyone who needs a spice rack.  I'm sure mine were a lot more than that!  I struggled to find ones to fit the inside of my pantry doors because I needed narrower than normal racks.

    Pudding looks good as usual.

Yes, great for anyone just building up their herbs and spices. Thanks for sharing it @bubbs. You're an ace bargain hunter. 😁

I've got one on the back of the door too @joedenise. 4 shelves, all arranged in alphabetical order. I love it. 😁

    Morning everyone,

Bright and sunny here so I'll put a wash load on shortly and hope it will dry outside today. We have to get DS2 to school for 1.45pm for his first A level - Physics paper 1 - DH has a conveniently timed dental appointment so I'll take him. Hopefully DS2 can take the private coach home or get public transport.

Ocad0 due between 9am and 10am today. Feels quite indulgent having a food shop delivered. Can't remember the last time I did this but way before first lockdown.

    Food today:
    B - WM toast, jam, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries - HEB, 1, S
L - melon, banana, mug shot - S, 1 (will be on the go)
    D - SW carbonara, parmesan - HEA
    HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar 3 plus 1

    Have a good day everyone

Morning all, a lovely day today, particularly to get the washing dry as it's bright, sunny and with a bit of a breeze.  Washing is already on the line.

Good luck to your DS2 @Coxy11 with his Physics A level.  I'm not sure it would feel indulgent having a home delivery per se but certainly one from Ocado!  But that was a brilliant offer and great for stocking up.  May well take the offer up after my holiday if it is still available.

I've got 2 x 3 tier spice racks on the back of the pantry doors @maman, but as I said they are narrower than standard doors as it's a very tall corner cupboard almost floor to ceilin where I need to use a step to reach the top shelf!  I also have have a couple of plastic boxes on one of the shelves - one with with various spices in that are in oversized jars and one with herbs again in oversized jars plus things like mustard powder, Worcestershire sauce, onion and garlic granules.  There are also a few new jars where I've bought them when I'm getting low and nowhere else to put them!

NSV this morning!  Grabbed a pair of jeans and they are a size 10!  Can't usually get them done up without laying on the bed!  This morning I did them up standing up.  They're a bit tighter than I'd like generally but they are loosening up as time goes on.  Been a long time since I've been able to wear these jeans.  Have to say I still prefer my size 12s for comfort!

    Today's plan:

B - eggs on toast, strawberries and grapes after - HEB; P; S
    L - onion soup (from freezer) - S; F
D - pulled pork, sweet potato wedges, corn on the cob - P; F.  Will probably have more fruit after with some yoghurt (no ice cream as didn't put the bowl back in the freezer!)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but may have a G&T or rum and ginger beer if I fancy it

    Have a good day everyone.

Amazing News!! I went to WI this morning and lost 3 lbs!!!🤣

My first reaction was, this can't be right?? The WI lady said try again but fortunately the consultant stepped in and said, just take it! So I did. 😁

I'm now a pound below target weight and lighter than I've been since January 2020. I've plodded along at the top end of range all through the lockdowns so I'm thrilled. It means I can go on holiday with no worries and I've got a fortnight when I get back to help redress the damage.

I'll post menu later as not sure if I'll treat myself to some syns or not. 🤔

Brilliant news @maman; congratulations 👏👏👏.  I definitely wouldn't have questioned it!  Your consultant was right to say just take it.  I assume you mean lb below your target and not below bottom end of range!  Great you can go on holiday and know you've got 4lb leeway before you get to top end of target - wish I did I've only got a lb but I'm going to wait at least 2 weeks after my holiday before I go back to WI when hopefully I'll have shifted at least enough to get back to top end of target range!

When do you actually go on holiday?  I'm off next Wednesday assuming we get our motorhome back from the garage.  DH is going to call them shortly to make sure we'll get it back by the weekend so we've got time to sort everything out and pack it!

Yes @joedenise, a pound below target weight. I'd have taken anything within range. 😁

I go away 3 weeks yesterday for 3 weeks, so 2 weeks left when I get back. It would have been risky to leave it any longer before WI. I'm really looking forward to going away. 🌞😎

Me too.  I've just spoken to the garage and they are actually looking at the van at the moment so hopefully we should get it back tomorrow or Saturday.  At least that gives us a few days to get it packed and see if there is any food we still need to buy to put in there.  I like to take basics like tin tomatoes, tuna, marmite, mixed beans.  I always take the contents of the fridge as well.  I'm planning on turning it off when we're away.  Everything in the freezer will be bagged up and put in the outside freezer as there's a bit of space in there.  I'm really hoping to be able to run down the outside one between this holiday and the one in September!

Great news @maman that sets you up nicely for going away.

DH was back from the dentist in time to take DS2 to his exam. I still had just melon and a mugshot though. The melon was honeydew - hadn't had one before and wouldn't buy again - totally tasteless. I prefer canteloupe or galia but both double the price. Unfortunately I have another two pots of this one to get through!

Am trying to be more mindful of drinking cold drinks rather than wall to wall tea. Yesterday I had 6 cups of tea, one coffee and one small glass of squash all day. It's not healthy for me. Need to address this and am working my way through a 750ml bottle of squash at the moment.

Am a bit (a lot!) peeved with SIL and BIL. Bought them tickets to see a TV stand up comedian for their Chrimbo gift. First date was postponed due to Covid (Feb) so rearranged date was last night, which SIL said was fine. I had an email from the venue on Monday to say about covid requirements (masks not essential but would prefer etc) which I forwarded on, then DH texted them yesterday as hadn't heard back, and they'd forgotten all about it and were away for a few days break, having left their 5 children with ILs. We could have gone had we known. That's £60 wasted. Sorry to go off topic but I'm so cross.
