Morning all, I love nacho feast @ruby_eskimo!  I tried a SP day yesterday and was starving in bed last night!  Refrained from getting up and eating something but I was so tempted.

    Today's food:
    B - f/f Greek Yoghurt, berries, 1 x tbsp Skinny syrup (0.5)
L - Spanish omelette as I've potatoes and broccoli to use up, pickles
D - chicken fajitas - will use pitta pocket (HEB) rather than wraps, cheese (HEA)

    Have a good day everyone!

Morning all, weather looks better than it has been for the last few days as the wind seems to have dropped but no idea how cold it is as haven't stepped outside the door yet!  Will wait until it warms up a bit.

Don't seem to have been affected by the hacking (all bank accounts intact!).  Still got some passwords to change but getting there.

    Today's plan:

B - baked oats; frozen mixed berries; frozen cherries; yoghurt to serve - HEB; S; F
    L - LO fried up potatoes & veg with fried eggs - P; S; F
    D - LO roast pork; chips; beans; piccalilli, picked onions; pickled beetroot - P; S; F; 0.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - piccalilli 0.5.  May have a few squares of dark choc later if I fancy some! (no more than 4)

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Gosh Denise, what a pain to come back to, we have so many passwords these days, how the heck are we supposed to remember which one is for which site?

Bubbs, what happened, were the scales broken? Really pleased for you. Hope your dad is still fighting strong.

    Well done all the losers.

Did a 10 miler on Saturday, was really nice, although there was a bit of a nip at times, we were going from jacket on, jacket off! Got a bit sunburnt :)

Spoke to my friend that evening, was a difficult one as her son had confirmed something to her that I had suspected for a few years, he now has to tell his dad, which will be difficult as he is their only son, but mum feels that her DH should hear it from their son.  She is very protective, but always looks on the worst side, and is terrified that he will be attacked/assaulted. I understand where she comes from, but he is such a lovely young man, caring, thoughtful, considerate and she needs to prioritise these attributes over his sexuality. Seeing her at the weekend, so will go for a coffee & talk about things properly.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

That sounds like a NSV to me @ruby_eskimo. It's great to have compliments. Enjoy your Greek salads. I'm really looking forward to feta style Turkish white cheese when I'm on holiday. It's not for two months yet but I'm dreaming already! 😎

I'm sure you'll be there for your friend @Gettingtherequickly and I'm sure the young man will feel so much better now it's out there.

Good luck with your interview @Coxy11. It's all practice but do you want to stay with the same employer? 🤔 Glad you've had a good breakfast to set you up. Don't you like meatballs with your spaghetti?

What a PITA @joedenise. I'm not sure I'd even remember some of the passworded sites I've used. It's really just the banking type that I'm really careful with. 🤔

It'll be interesting to see SP makes any difference to you @Jellybaby, other than feeling hungry! 🤣

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, banana (F), berries (S)
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (P,F)
D- baked haddock (P), sweet potato mash, peas (F), roast veg, green stuff (S)
    Syns- 0

To be honest @maman I've just deleted some of the sites that we've used in the past but not used recently.  Sometimes when DH buys stuff for the motorhome, golf or cars he just uses whichever is the cheapest place and it's easier just to sign up so that you can keep track of your orders!  Like you it's really only the banking stuff I'm really careful with.  Having problems with changing password on the NS&I site as the method they use involves using your phone to change the password and it doesn't seem to work with iPhones which is what we both have!  DH got hold of someone on the phone yesterday and they supposedly sorted it out but it still hasn't been sorted so still need to get back to them, although I've got an old android phone and thinking it might be worth moving the sims from our iPhones into the old phone and using that to change our passwords but I'll have to get DH to do that as I can't seem to get the sim our of my phone!  And of course he's at golf again this morning!!!

Not particularly wanting to stay with same employer but this is a different department/subject matter, with different staff/managers. Not having much luck with external applications - 3 nos so far. Beginning to think it's because I'm a civil servant and we are getting a bad rep in the press.

I love meatballs but don't want to use the syns :D

Change of food plan for today. Had pineapple and melon about 10am and then breakfast at 11.45am. Had a pouch of Ben's microwaveable rice plus some brown sauce for lunch as forgot to get the veg chilli out of the freezer.
Syns will be 3+1 instead of 1.

@coxy ref your comment on civil servants this was always a train of thought where I work in the CS, but the last year I've seen many leave our department and gone to industry.

Tesco do venison and butternut squash meatballs and only 1/2 syn each

That's great @annabanana82! Delighted for you both. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Power to you for the next target of 2.5 stone!

I made my own meatballs the other week @Coxy11. I can't remember exactly  but I think used beef and pork mince, some onion and possibly some herbs. I'd definitely make them again. They made a nice change with spaghetti from our usual Bolognese.

    Wot no @bubbs?🤔

Thanks for the meatball tips. I’m making a concerted effort to use up what’s in the freezer so it was a decluttering exercise!

Well done on your loss @annabanana82 and to your daughter too - amazing xx
