Morning all, it's another bright but frosty morning. Supposed to get up to 2 or 3 degrees today, brrr! Still too cold for me. We've taken to going to bed early and watching TV in bed because it's warmer than the living room! It's the first time in over 50 years that we've even had a TV in the bedroom!
Welcome @Nevah. Are you following SW at the moment before actually starting online in January? I had to laugh that you couldn't go to group naked!!! Good luck for when you start following it "properly".
Do hope your headache eventually cleared @Coxy11 before you went to bed - headaches that hang on like that are horrible. Glad you enjoyed your chilli and great that you've got a couple of portions for work lunches next week. Once Christmas and New Year are out of the way I really need to do some batch cooking as not really got many HM ready meals left in the freezer now.
Today's plan:
B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - eating out so will definitely be syns involved but will stick to a G&T rather than wine (DH is driving!)
D - not sure but probably something like scrambled eggs on toast
HEA - milk
HEB - bread (probably)
Syns - G&T 3; depends what I have for lunch
Have a good day everyone.

Did read along but didn't manage to post yesterday. Stayed on plan though.😉
Welcome @Nevah. You obviously know the plan well. Did you regain the weight during the Covid lockdowns?🤔 It can help if you know the triggers that lure you away from healthy eating.
I did notice that you'd had an unexpected, unwarranted, unnecessary and totally unfair gain AGAIN @bubbs. 👿
I'm enjoying a quiet day today, so much so that I'm feeling really sleepy. I did buy 19p swede and carrots in Lidl yesterday so perhaps will push myself to make some mash for the freezer.
Hope you're feeling better today @Coxy11 and that WI was kind to you.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
L- JP (F), cottage cheese, ham (P), spring onion, tomato, pickled cabbage (S)
D- Sweet and Sour chicken (P,S), noodles (F)
Syns- Ben's sauce 1.5, weekend wine
😊

Evening all, I was very sensible at lunchtime and had roast. chicken with a side salad; had a G& T as well.
Didn't fancy scrambled eggs on toast in the end so ended up with some Ryvita with Primula Light so still had HEB plus 2nd HEA.

Sounds like you've made really good SW friendly choices today @joedenise. 👍
I really fancied chips with our sweet and sour tonight so did the casserole for tomorrow's dinner while the oven was on. It'll make life easier to fit around the World Cup final as I'll only have to do veg. ❤️⚽
Thanks for the heads up on the Sainsburys gammon @bubbs. I'll have a look for one in my local store.0 -
Welcome aboard @Nevah
After the snow yesterday roads were absolutely treacherous this morning. Usually I refuse to drive in these conditions but mother needed a prescription she’d forgotten about 🙈 needless to say that’s where my wine syns have gone tonight!A pound gain for me today which I’m ok with - would have preferred a maintain but hey ho. Bought loads of veg so planning a marathon cooking session for the freezer.I utterly do not understand your gain @bubbs. Your food inspires me every week and it’s so on plan x0 -
Morning!!!
Weighed in yesterday with a 1lb loss hurrah. Just one more lb and I'll have my 1.5 stone award. Could I do it this week....? Might be a bit of an anti-climax as group is just weigh and go next week and doubt if I lose that 1lb it'll still be off the following week!
Had a banana at group, went for waxing appointment (now long enough!!) and then shot home for a quick coffee. We then travelled down to Maidstone for the annual family panto event. Met in 'spoons and I had a JP with tuna mayo and a pepsi max. Had to send the first JP back as it was still cold in the centre ewwww! Had a pot of ice cream at the panto. Had to run DNiece to the DLR at Lewisham so a lot of driving. No dinner last night as such but I did have some Sainsbobs fruit couscous before we went out to the pub with friends. Had 3 x rum n pepsi max. Feeling a bit delicate this morning.....
DD and I have booked to see the Muppets Christmas Carol at 10am so need to get a wiggle on.
Food today:
B - poached egg, mushroom, 1 x WM toast - P, 1/2 HEB
L - HM BNS soup, 1 x WM - S 1/2 HEB
D - Macaroni cheese - HEA, 7 syns (for light evap milk)
HEA - milk
Syns - advent choc plus 7 so 9.5 total
Sorry about the little gain @Jellybaby - so many of my group have gained this past week due to social events, it's hard isn't it? Luckily for me I have a very boring social life lol!
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Hello everyone. It’s been a very long time since I checked in with you all.
Some of you may remember that I went back to work when covid struck and I had no interest in zoom classes. I struggled along alone for a while, access to the app ended and then I didn’t follow any kind of eating plan - just what I could when I could.
To cut a long story short, I have gained 12lbs (from the top of my target range) To say I am cross with myself is an understatement but at least I’ve now had the awakening and I have the determination as well.
Life has changed again and I left the covid service in March and have taken a part time job in a local Drs surgery. It’s really lovely - early starts but no weekends. I have access to kettle and microwave and so I have no excuses and have been slightly embarrassed giving dietary advice and thinking “do as I say, not as I do.”
So, a new year, a new start and a new me! If you will have me back, my aim will be to lose one stone (14lbs). That will see me back into target range. I’m not going back to group because the local classes clash with work and I don’t think I’ll keep the discipline of trailing 10 miles to attend one I can get to. So, I have joined online for 12 weeks, will weigh in every week on the scales in my surgery in my uniform. I’ve just completed my first week and only lost 1/2lb but we had things to use up eg non heb bread and of course it’s silly season where food and drink is all around and in large quantities.
I’ll weigh in again over the next 2 weeks and am hopeful I can limit the damage. I am working between Christmas and new year so that will keep me busy and out of the nibbles at home.
I have the new pinch of nom book in my Christmas stocking and am going to get back to making meals from PON and the chubby cubs books because I know that then my food is on plan and I can stretch it to a lunch portion for me too.
Hubby and son are also planning a get fit campaign so I shan’t be buying lunchbox treats or puddings.
Anyway, if you got to the end - thanks for letting me whinge and witter on. I’m excited to be back in the sw fold x
