Morning all, still cold here but at least it doesn't look as though it's icy outside!  Didn't really want to go out today but forgot I'd promised to take my friend to the next town as she wants to go to M&S Food Hall (we don't have a proper shop!).  I've got a cheque which needs to be paid into the bank so may well do that as well but won't bother if it's busy - it can wait until after the hustle and bustle of Christmas and New Year - it's going to end up in the Energy Account so not as if I'd planned to spend it any time soon - next bill isn't until June next year.

Glad you enjoyed your party @Coxy11; I think getting together with colleagues is about the only thing I miss about work.  Enjoy your drinks on Monday @ruby_eskimo.

DH is at home all day again today as the golf course is still closed due to the weather - it's been closed since the bad weather began so he's not played since we got back from holiday.

    Today's plan:

    B - stuffed mushrooms - S; F; 2
    L - tuna melt - HEB; HEA2; P; 0.5
    D - Xacutti curry; rice - P; S; F; 10 (eek!) (I added too much coconut milk so it's increased it quite a bit!!!)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
Syns - 25g Primula Light 2; LTL mayo 0.5; curry mix 1.5; coconut milk 8.5

Have a good day everyone and wrap up and keep warm if you need to go out.

  • Definitely sounds like an adventure @Coxy11!  Hoping our drinks are less eventful on Monday!

Thanks for the veg wars info @bubbs, I really need a cauliflower which I think Tesco did on clubcard offer last year so might have to see what they come out with.

Half day at work today (in lieu of a Christmas party) so going to be spending my afternoon deep cleaning the house 😆  Haven't had breakfast as not hungry again, but lunch will be more sweet potato soup and dinner is a veggie chilli which I need to put in the slow cooker in a bit.

Hope everyone has a good day and stays warm!

Afternoon all, (checking the time) :)

Lots and lots of snow here!  Great to see if you don't have to go out in it but have cleared the drive, pavement and road in front of the house to help keep cars moving around our wee village.  Apparently it was gridlock at 8am this morning for several hours.  Took a couple of hours of constant shovelling but great body magic plus I turned the heating down when I came in 😂

Hoping it clears so I can get parents out for shopping tomorrow especially as I am absolutely adamant that I won't be going near a shop on Christmas Eve!

    Today's plan:
    B - just coffee as wasn't hungry
L - last of tomato and red pepper soup, bacon roll (HEXB)
    D - spaghetti bolognaise, parmesan (HEXA2)

Have a good day all and stay warm.

Good luck to all those venturing out. I took myself out to the town at lunchtime as DS1 has pipped me off so needed to stomp away my grumpiness! Unfortunately I couldn't stride as much as usual due to pavement ice in places.

Changed my breakfast from jam on toast to baked beans on toast as they needed using up. Saved myself a syn there. Lunch was the yummy LO pork Szechuan and noodles mmmmmm.

Chilli con carne is in the SC, just need to add the peppers shortly and cook some rice later. DH will be home at some point this evening and DS2 has managed to pick up a short shift 4pm-8pm at the golden arches. He's back on regular shifts from next Wednesday.

Bought some tenderstem broccoli for the SOTW basket when I was out, plus some blueberries and bananas for me. Managed to resist the Cadbury chocolate mountain in Sains!  o:) Really want a loss tomorrow if at all possible.

    Evening all D

DH worked till 5, when i picked him up i said we will be lucky to be home for 6, (usually 15 mins) traffic was horrendous , we got in at 5.50 so wasn't far off!

    Fake KFC in the oven.

Totally !!!!!! off today can't WI tomorrow so went today and had a totally unjustified 2lb gain, which resulted in self sabotage this afternoon as took mum shopping and was starving when i got back as had nothing to eat.

So i had, soft pitta, hexb, with 1/2 hexa cheese spread, ham and beetroot, pickles and tomatoes, grapes.........then it went wrong 😫 half a bar chocolate(sns unknown), small bag popcorn 4.5 syns, 3 percy pigs 4.5 syns .actually when you look at it like that it's not TOO bad😂

Fake KFC and chips & salad for tea

Ruby cauli's are on cc price of 60p , ive had a few , i just wanted them cheaper 🤣🤣

@bubbs - No rhyme nor reason for a gain of 2lb; you've beef sticking to plan and eating plenty of Speed.  As you say today's syns are that bad; you'll pull that back over the next week as you rarely have more than about 7 syns so good luck with shifting that 2lb - it's possibly some fluid retention.

The curry tonight was high syns because of the coconut milk but it was really tasty and definitely worth the syns.  Only used half the mix so will definitely make it again but will use only half can of light coconut milk as I think it will still be creamy enough.

    Enjoy your fake KFC tonight.

Denise , i know really pee's me off 😥 even a STS would be great but 2lb gain?!!! i was literally looking what can i stuff in my face 🤣🤣

I was hoping to be lower end of target for Xmas as was 1lb under now 1.5 over 🤬

    Anyway tea was nice  😋😋

When we went shopping, i parked, got Mum out, Dad didn't come which was a first, she went to lidl, i went across to the chemist to pick the prescriptions up as they were missed for delivery, when i got back she was standing by the car, i said what's up? she said it's shut due to unforeseen circumstances 😏 so that was that and on to Morrisons we went.

We did comment how many spaces there were and there was no one parked in disabled bays and we said that's a first  last week couldn't get parked anywhere near the door so i dropped them off and parked, then got the car to pick them up.
