Thank you for the new thread beanielou. I have now completely caught up on the old thread and have started reading along with a notebook alongside to write down recipes and tips. Thank you all.
I had to cancel my debit card yesterday to stop the scammer so have left myself with very little cash until my new card comes through. This means I must be more MSE and use what I have in stock and freezer this week. Luckily had bought in a load of fresh veg and fruit after joining on Saturday.
So plan this evening to try and meal plan. I noticed you all seem to do this each week so I presume it is helpful.
I don't meal plan as such, but when i got shopping i buy say mince then decide in the week what i am doing with it but i am a creature of habit, thursday we always have curry or sweet and sour, friday i have fake kfc, sat, i have my syns 😂 sunday we have a roast, so only have to think of Mon, tues and weds :D

I, on the other hand, meal plan for a month at a time.  It's not set in stone as if I get a bagain when I go shopping then the plan changes!  However my starting point is everything I have in the freezer, fridge and cupboards.  I really can't cope without planning - I didn't used to plan and could never think what to have and it really used to stress me out.

We always have a fry up at the weekend for breakfast and we tend to have a roast on a Sunday, except if we're away in the motorhome as the oven in there is useless so everything needs to be cooked on the hob.

So really it's up to you whether you plan or not!  Don't think we really helped you much there!

That'll be a help to your mum @bubbs. What a kind person. 😊

Enjoy your trip to the Company Shop.😁

My consultant says 'Fail to plan, plan to fail' @OWD_nana. I've meal planned weekly long before SW, as it saves waste and saves time as I can just whizz around the supermarket with my list of essentials. I have a mixture of cooked from scratch meals and HM ready meals from the freezer from batch cooking. If plans change then the frozen meals roll over. I really only plan dinners as I just buy in ingredients for breakfast and DH chooses what to cook. 🥰 Lunch I have leftovers from dinner or a jacket potato or an omelette mostly.
