Afternoon everyone - enjoy your days on your own Coxy...mine came home today and the planned pork chop veg and tats went out of the window when he said he would like a tuna omelette - the smells puts me off tinned tuna and grated cheese, seems when he was young the canteen lady at work made it.   Ruby hope hubby is ok today....fish and chips what a lovely idea and a trip to the seaside.   I am screaming at the moment DD seen chops and decided he wants pork chops now.  I swear I'll hit the wine bottle tonight...all stop again as dog barking as front doorbell rang.

WI today and lost 1 lb. today....while hoped for more  I am still loosing which all goes to the greater good.

B  W bix x 1 blues sliced pear and yog
L   slice bread spread with LF mayo and crabsticks and baby toms and beetroot
D  Pork chop (lean) sw roast pots broc and green beans gravy

Syns mayo 2 bisto gravy 0.5 syns apple sauce 1 syn

HEA Milk  HEB bread 1 W bix 1

P.S.  hoping to hang fire with the wine......😉

Well done @Vegastare on your lb loss.  I'm always pleased when I manage a lb as usually only lose 0.5lb!  Definitely goes towards the greater good!

Have to say tuna omelette doesn't appeal to me and I can't even smell it!  I love a cheese omelette, a veggie omelette or even a bacon & mushroom omelette - have never even thought of putting any sort of fish in one!

DH got a Morries TGTG sandwich/cake bag today - definitely not particularly good value but there is a salmon & tuna sandwich on wholemeal bread so think that's going to be my lunch tomorrow!  I'll probably add some lettuce to it to up the Speed though.

Right must get pork steaks out of freezer ready to defrost for dinner tomorrow night - looking forward to those and planning on using the little gem lettuces to make peas a la Francais with them.

Well done on your pound @Vegastare! 👏👏👏

I wouldn't fancy a tuna omelette either. I like fish but not like that although strangely I have egg with a tuna salad. 🤔

Went to WI today and delighted to STS! Still right at the top of the range but I'm in my target range and that's what mattters. I'll stay on plan though as no eating out in the diary for a week or so, so should help. 😊

It's been a glorious day here, warm and sunny. Thinking of @bubbs and @ruby_eskimo with their fish and chips at the seaside. 😋  Saturday is meant to be really good too so will definitely be doing bedding @joedenise

Pub grub can be a nightmare @Jellybaby. So much is deep fried and not SW friendly.

Without meaning to sound preachy @Coxy11, your DH being away could be perfect for staying on plan as only yourself to please. 🤔

    Morning!!

An early one from me given I'm WFH. Didn't sleep well - went to bed at 10.30pm after painting the bedroom and was wide awake at 2.18am and again at 4.40am! DS1s pup with me today so at least someone to talk to!

You're right @maman I actually tend to not eat properly when only me to please - ie. not a proper meal. I grilled the A!di plant based sausages plus some bacon, and had those with plum tomatoes and baked beans last night. Not speedy but a nice tasty meal and set me up for painting. Out at a friend's house tonight and will get the bus so I can have a couple of rum n pepsi max's. Need to avoid the snacks!

Well done on the 1lb loss @Vegastare and your STS @maman :) I don't think I've lost anything this week - have been 100% on plan but still not 'going' properly after my carby week of walking. Sorry TMI!

    Food today:
B - melon, banana, grapes - some speed
L - HM BS and carrot soup, 1 slice WM bread - S, 1/2 HEB
D - 1 slice WM bread, HEA cheese, plus tomatoes, baked beans - 1/2 HEB, HEA, some speed
    HEA - milk
    Syns - rum n pepsi max x 2 - 6

    Have a good day all

Morning all, looking a bit grey again this morning so unless it brightens up I won't be doing any washing today!  However if it does brighten up I'll do a load, otherwise I'll leave it until tomorrow as definitely looking better for tomorrow as @maman said last night.

Well done on your the STS @maman.  It's always a relief when you stay within range - especially when you're hovering around top end.  I've at least been on plan this week so will probably decide on Monday whether or not to go to WI this week or leave it until next week.

Have had to move things around as hadn't allowed for when DH is playing golf!  I don't bother doing things like stuffed mushrooms and kedgeree on the days he's playing just for me and stuffed mushrooms were what I'd planned for today so now having a mini fry up!

    So today's plan:

    B - mini fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms - P; S
    L - salmon and cucumber sandwich - HEB; P; S; 5?
D - pork steaks, potatoes of some sort, veg (including peas a la Francais - to use up the little gems)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - spread 5? couple rum and ginger beer 5

No idea how much spread there is on the sandwich but will have a look when I open the pack and estimate the syns (I know it won't be butter or low fat spread!) but there is no mayo fortunately!

    Have a good day everyone.

    You're right @joedenise, it's such a relief knowing that I'm still in range. 😊

I'm thinking that, after all these years without, perhaps I should get some bathroom scales so that I can time my WIs better. Any thoughts about what to get? 🤔

I enjoy it when DH isn't around and I can please myself with what to eat @Coxy11. It's not that he's fussy but I can eat some things he doesn't like or have the sort of thing you had last night which I wouldn't serve for dinner if it was both of us. I remember when I lived alone and could get super lunches at work and then, on a cold day, I'd have porridge in the evening. 🤣

It's bright but windy here @joedenise but sticking by my plan to do the washing tomorrow. We're going to the cinema tonight but the Mrs Harris film is on at a weird time (5.30?). Normally we'd eat out afterwards but I'm really not enamoured with the 'casual dining' sort of places in the city centre. I'm hoping we can come home and have a quick and easy chilli from the freezer.

It's hard to estimate the syns for a shop sandwich as, online, they'd include syns for the bread.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs, bacon (P)
    L- LO casserole (P, F, S)
    D- veggie chilli (P, S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns- tbc

Bathroom scales - I just bought mine in Tesco a few years ago.  When I first got them I weighed myself before going to group and then worked out what I needed to do so that it matched with SW scales!  It works for me.  I have to round to the nearest half and then add half lb to get the "SW" weight!  Think I paid about £15 for them about 5 years ago.  The brand is CURA Med, no idea if they are still available.

There are lots of fancy ones around which tell you what percentage fat you have and things like that but quite honestly I don't need to know any percentages so why pay extra for things you don't need!

Afternoon all.  I have some salter scales from argos @maman, work well for me and were less than £10 (although that was a few years ago 😂)

Well done on the loss @Vegastare - I don't like omelette's full stop so the sound of a tuna one is definitely 🤢 for me

We spent more time in the car yesterday than actually at the coast, but the fish and chips were lovely and DH was very thankful for the change in routine - his epilepsy affects his moods quite a bit so I have to think of "spontaneous" things to do every once in a while to keep him out of a funk.  I was planning on taking him to the coast on Saturday so it wasn't as "spontaneous" as he thought it was!

It's been a difficult morning at work so I'm going to take it easy this afternoon.  Not really feeling too hungry so have had some weetabix but that's about it.  Planning on nacho feast this evening but will play it by ear.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I have digital scales which give weight and water %? I think, not sure as I never stay on them long enough! I weigh myself every morning - I know, I know.... but it's a hard habit to break!

The HM BNS and carrot soup was lush. I made 4 portions and kept them all in the fridge until I'd checked the seasoning level today. I added half a tsp of habanero chillies plus a tsp of ground cumin. It was really tasty, I abhor bland soup! Will keep a portion for tomorrow lunchtime and freeze the other two for lunches next week  :)
