Thanks @beanielou, most people I know have had some sort of reaction to the booster. ☹️ I think I'll need to make some contingency plans for Wednesday just in case.

Nice plate of SW friendly bits and pieces for lunch @bubbs. 😋 When do you leave for Bournemouth? 🤔

ETA The Tesco bread is 5.5 syns per slice @Vegastare so you weren't far off.

    Morning everyone,

I'm in the London office today, so up earlier than usual. So dark here!

    Food today will be:
B - overnight oats, frozen cherries, cherry mullerlight - HEB, 0.5
L - LO Mexican chicken, melon, blueberries - free, S
D - SW Szechuan pork with noodles - free
    HEA - milk
    Syns - hi fi bar

I'm going to the cinema with my neighbour tonight to see Mrs Harris goes to Paris. DH wasn't interested in seeing it - looks good. We saw Don't Worry Darling on Saturday night - a bit odd and almost like they didn't know how to finish the movie as the ending felt rushed.

Spoke to DD last night and she's doing okay - full on last year of uni is helping!! Thanks for your well wishes, it's appreciated x

Well done on STS @ruby_eskimo x
Go steady all of you having your flu/covid jabs - take it easy xx

    Have a good day all

    Morning all,

I'm sure your DD will come through this stronger but what a horrid person to do that on her 21st!

The tooth saga is ongoing - three x-rays, a gum shield and two different dentists poking around they've decided it's a wisdom tooth that's the problem (as I suggested to them right at the start!). May have to go back (again) to have it removed will see how it goes with the current treatment.

    Today's food:
B - 45g bran flakes (HEXB), f/f Greek yoghurt, nectarines
    L - lentil soup
D - roast chicken, SW roasties, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes
Syns - none planned at the moment

    Have a good day all!

I'm not sure we will continue on SW after the 12 week referral period is up, we find it too restrictive for our lifestyle and it is triggering a few demons I have but thought were long buried (as in 30 years buried) because of how restrictive it is and my need to be in control when it comes to food choices.

We're following the plan to the letter for now and we have been getting good results but it doesn't really fit into a spontaneous lifestyle, nor a disabled, poor and unable to prepare and cook, working at evening meals time so have to take something to put in the ding one. I could fathom WW points when I was there and could work stuff out on the fly by looking at the packet but SW syns are complicated and not easy to work out. The same goes for calorie counting, you know your limit, most things have calories on them and it is easier to be spontaneous when out and about or when you get caught up unexpectedly.

There were a few times last week when life took an unexpected turn and I couldn't have my planned meals, the only available things carried syns that were too high but calorie wise, would have been absolutely fine on a calorie controlled diet and subsequently and because of my demons and wanting to keep within plan, I went without.

I did have my reservations when the referral was made, partly because of the old red and green days which were not suited to me but with the changes, thought it might be better but the fact that I don't like the normal free fill up items like green veggies, it does leave a bit of a hole and makes my diet incredibly boring (I'm stuck with a couple of meals to have day in and day out) or facing paying through the nose on their microwave meals, something I just cannot afford.

I really do think we will resort to calorie counting after the referral period is up but at least going to SW reignited that urge to lose weight and to keep it going, so not all bad. It gave us the kick up the bum that we really needed.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Afternoon all.  Feeling a lot better now after the jabs so hope you all feel ok if you have your's coming up this week.

Hope the dentist saga is solved quickly @Jellybaby - I got a clean bill of health from my dentist finally last week but will probably need another root canal in the not too distant future!

You need to make the decision that's best for you @SingleSue - as @maman always says, SW is supposed to fit around you and your lifestyle.  I have a more relaxed view of SW which is kind of working for me - I put more "speed" on my plate but I don't really count syns too much and I pay more attention to fullness and hunger cues.  Works for me but with everything YMMV!

Had yogurt and pomegranate for breakfast this morning, lunch was poached egg on toasted pitta with avocado and then dinner is Korean miso stew with potato, courgette and tofu and some rice.

Right need to get back to work.  Hope you're all having a good day.

Afternoon all, been a busy morning starting with getting my hair cut about 9.15, then went to DD2s to take her some brie but halfway there and realised we'd left it in the fridge at home so round the roundabout and back home!  Finally got to DD2s about 11 but didn't stay as she's working from home but will pop back probably at the weekend if she's at home.

We then went shopping but only needed to go to one shop for a change!  Back home, put the shopping away and finally had some lunch!

Hope your dental treatment does the job rather than having to go back and have a wisdom tooth removed.

    Today's plan:

    B - porridge, fruit - HEB; S; F
    L - LO leek and potato soup - S; F
    D - Fish pie - HEA2; P; S; F; 3.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - porridge
Syns - white sauce mix 3.5

@SingleSue - Sorry to read your post....I just wanted to add when covid started to hit early 2020 I started to go downhill, SW and eating correctly and eating plans went out of the window and sadly the anxiety that has lurked for many years kicked in.  I have never gone back to class as busy places and confined for an hour or so is still hard.  So I decided to come back to a friendly place where never judged just helped and that is here.

You mentioned the old green and red days....funny but I never took to that and reverting to WW but for me WW was a bit OTT and I felt very pressured into high weight loss goals.   I can see where you are coming from with the calories against syns - a SW lasagne at Iceland is 3 times as much as a Iceland own with same cals.  Plus I agree it does need food prep and if you are not feeling good SW meals at Iceland are way to pricey - or I feel that. You have to do what you feel is best and what I would say is for me maintaining momentum is really not going back to spreading butter over two slices toast before marmalade.  So watching simply things like milk bread butters and oils and sugary things will help.

I hope the period at SW will have enlightened you to pitfalls and will encourage you with your weight loss.

    Take care of yourself.

Today really ick here rain and windy.

B  1 Wbix sliced pear fig blues and FF yog
L   SW pattie bacon egg and left over bub and sq.
D   SW beef cass and veg mash, green beans slice toast/garlic spray light.

HEA Milk HEB  1 Wbix 1 bread.

    Syns Skinny bar 3
