You're basically eating SP anyway @bubbs!  You hardly ever have any carbs.  It's things like rice, pasta, potatoes which you can't have on SP.  You only really have a few chips occasionally and don't think you eat rice or pasta anyway.

When you make your scotch eggs you would need to use synned sausages rather than pork mince so probably better not to bother with them for the week!

The other thing you can't have is yoghurt so you'd have to forgot your ice cream at night!  But perhaps you could see if quark works as you can have that.

SP is a bit like the old Red days where you have just Protein (meat, pulses etc) and Speed (most fruit and veg).  Have a look at the online website to read up about it.  There are several articles in the tab called Features, just type in SP and they will come up.

To be honest if it's just the banana you've had you can still SP the rest of the day as you can have the odd Free food but if you have more then you may as well just do a normal EE day.

To be honest other than your ice cream every night it won't be much different to what you're doing now.

    Good luck with it!

Bit late today....I have really messed up today....slice pie at MILs no cream and I asked for a small piece...DH got a quarter!! and swimming in white stuff.  Can't believe it's back on telly - made me feel miserable (premier football) makes me feel winter and my blasted cold feet will be back 24/7 - if I hadn't had the dam pie would be on the wine.  Should be out in garden and he is sat in front TV at 6pm.  Rant over

Sorry Bubbs - may be jig the meals up a bit...I remember one week I had a fantastic weight loss and all I had done differently was drink  roobos tea.

B 2 egg omelette with lots mushrooms
L  open sandwich lettuce sliced light baby bel sliced toms and sliced beet.
D  poached chicken with onion and mushrooms and made into chinese curry SW sauce. boiled rice
some fruit later as not had much SP today.

    HEA milk cheese
    HEB 1 bread.
Syns slice pie have no idea 10 which is a guess.

    Hi everyone,

I too had a gain - 1lb on. Met my niece for lunch yesterday and had a chicken burrito in Wahaca - tbh not sure what there would have been that wasn't a million syns - think mine was 32! I didn't eat last night but obviously the lunch plus not eating any fruit for 2 days has taken it's toll.

I was in two minds whether to go to group this morning. It's very poorly attended since the consultant left in April and we now have another ex-consultant babysitting which doesn't mean any consistency. She is borrowing kit from someone else so there are no certificates/stickers, no raffle, the SOW stuff gets piled up and no books or mags just hi fi bars to buy.

I came home and had some malt wheats then had a sweet pepper and cheese omelette with salad and pickles for lunch. We've been painting and then went to Lakeside shopping centre to shop for wallpaper and go to Costco.

Now home and having Nandos for dinner as we are at the cinema tonight. I think today is a 's0d it' day tbh. Back on the wagon tomorrow.

I can't see SP helping you @bubbs as, like @joedenise said, your menu is really close to it anyway. I was wondering the opposite, whether having mainly Speed and Protein and so few carbs was the problem. I'd just keep having your HEB and perhaps another roll or something carby for the syns. You're an enigma. 🤔

I've had a good day. I'd deliberately told my brother we'd arrive early (10.30am) for coffee and that we were going to take advantage and go to the shopping outlet nearby later. I was hoping the 'no lunch' message was clear without being rude. We actually went to my nephew's new house which was better as no HM goodies from SIL. They did provide croissants and Danish pastries and cookies but also some fruit. I just had my coffee and a few grapes and let DH tuck in. 😁

At the shops we went to Subway and I had a salad bowl. Only syns were in the light mayo dressing. So I went 'armed' with 45 syns since Thursday and that's all I've used. Result! I'll enjoy my wine tonight. 😁

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, fried egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA 1 milk for drinks
    L- Subway salad (P, S)
    D- meatballs (P, S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns-mayo 2?, weekend wine 😁

Denise, she said I can have ice cream as I use Greek yoghurt and it's protein?

Why can't I use pork mince it's protein?

I did look at the page but can't really get my head round it.

Vegastare it's like I said to her I love vegetables but it's just too hot yoo cook anything like that in here at the moment. Also going to be a scorcher again next week.

Today I've had banana,  egg wraps with BLT and cherry tomatoes

I'm just cooking pizza , as soft pitta hexb, peppers, mushroom and Chicken. 1.5 hexa cheese. BBQ sauce for the base, 1.5 syns. Bns chips and salad that's ok isn't it?

Sorry @bubbs - getting a bit confused about the mince!

As long as it's proper Greek yoghurt and not Greek style yoghurt it's OK for SP but I thought you used the Tesco Greek style yoghurt as that's the tub you put a photo of on a while back and that isn't Protein!

Are you splitting the soft pitta to make it bigger as the base or just using it as it is?  Toppings are good as are BNS chips & salad.  I actually wonder whether you are having enough syns - certainly doesn't look like it with todays food.  Perhaps you can try up to them a bit again.  My consultant always says aim for around 10 a day - which I seem to be struggling with at the moment!

Well done on avoiding syns when you met with your brother today @maman!  Enjoy your wine tonight - plenty of syns available for them!

Sorry about the gain @Coxy11 - do you know why?  It's difficult when your consultant leaves and you get temp ones but yours doesn't sound brilliant!  Is there another group you could go to instead?  My consultant left shortly before lockdown and my current consultant was actually the one who covered my old group until lockdown!  When it went online I opted out until lockdown was over.  Tried the one nearest me but didn't really like the consultant, no idea why just didn't.  Funny how first impressions can put you off someone!

Yes i only buy Greek yoghurt, think i perhaps bought one of them in lockdown but as it's horrible i won't be buying again 🤣 i split the base and make 2 pizza's , i will have merigune and fruit/ice cream with choc shot for pudding so 6.5 syns today unless i go mad and have 2 syns choc shot 🤣

  • Hi all,

Hope you are all well, been awhile since I last checked in I've not read the 278 posts since my last visit.

Been busy in work and trying to push my weight loss with lots of walking last week - paid off as I lost 3lbs! Despite making a booboo at kfc I knew one rice box was 4syns but didn't realise it was the veggie version ended up enjoying my 10 syns though.

Less walking this week, but making up for it in the garden attempting to pull out 20m of fencing and overgrown hedgerow. I can't believe how much the previous occupants dumped on the boundary for us to clear away 🤬
