oh no @bubbs not good. You deserved that fry up after that stress.

My neighbours dog (bull mastiff) burrowed under our fence on Tuesday, breaking the bottom piece. DH was out there at the time with DS1s puppy. Managed to get inside before the big dog reached them. Neighbour didn’t even apologise, just sent his teenaged son round with the lead. Unbelievable!

Not good @bubbs but at least neighbour is going to pay for the bone window.  Two weeks is pretty good to get the glass - if it was a double glazed unit it would probably be nearer 6 weeks; certainly was for me last year.

Hope you enjoyed your fry up!
    It is double glazed
In which case that is really quick.  Are they just going to reglaze the unit rather than a complete new one?

    Morning all,

So today's the day when we take my DMum away for the weekend. Managed to avoid the wine and choc aisle when I went for provisions after work. Lord knows I will probably regret that decision!

Found a PoN traybake/SC recipe to have for Saturday dinner. Just need to raid the spice cupboard here to take a few bits with me.

    Food today:
    B - pineapple, blueberries
L - en route at Bicester Village so ??
D - pub dinner - which would you go for? Chicken and chorizo skewer with rice and salad or butternut squash risotto with goats cheese? Answers on a postcard please folks.

Yes just reglaze as nothing wrong with the unit just the glass

    Morning all :D

Morning all, a lovely morning so have put a line of washing out to dry.  Have a telephone physio appointment for my shoulder at 11am - that should be interesting!  I had the fall 4 days short of a year ago; I'm glad I went private after a couple of months as I don't think I could have stood the pain this long without it!  The pain isn't too bad most of the time now as long as I don't try to do too much.  Even hanging out the washing can be a bit painful sometimes, particularly with things like bedding.

Have a great weekend @Coxy11.  As for the pub meal I'd definitely go with the skewers but mainly because I'm not a fan of butternut squash risotto!  I like butternut squash and I like risotto just not together!

I think maman has probably got another week to go as she went for 3 weeks and I think she left shortly before I got back from France and we've been back about 10 days now.

Today's plan is for a bit of a fishy day:

    B - Welsh rarebit - HEA2; HEB; P; F
    L - baked salmon with ginger and spring onions; noodles - P; S; F
    D - kedgeree - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but will probably have a couple of rum & ginger beers 5

Was going to do the lunch and dinner the other way round but hadn't factored in my physio appointment when I did the plan so just swapped them over because the salmon dish will be quicker to cook than the kedgeree!

    Have a good day everyone.

You're on early Bubbs  boo to the window being smashed but good your neighbour is paying up

Have a lovely time away with your mum and sis Coxy.

Feeling tired, fat and bloated this morning and could quite easily go back to bed. Think this might be when I'd normally have time of the month but as it's gone AWOL again I'm just getting the side effects (sorry TMI!).  Not feeling very hopeful for WI tomorrow, really need a good kick up the backside.

    Food today:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, berries and nectarines
L - veggie omelette with pickles
D - baked potato with l/over chilli and salad

    Have a good day everyone!

Morning all.  Sorry to hear about the window @bubbs but at least your neighbour is paying for it 👍  Hope the physio appointment goes well @joedenise - not quite sure how a telephone physio appointment works either 😆  Hope you have a lovely weekend away @Coxy11 and I'd go for the skewers too - sounds a lighter meal than the risotto and while I love goats cheese it can make things a bit heavy sometimes.  I'm sure it won't be as bad as you think @Jellybaby, lots of water should help shift the bloat, or peppermint tea works for me too.

Was in the office yesterday and got pretty much nothing done - helped a lot of other people out though 😂  Don't really have any plans for the weekend apart from cleaning the house and watching stranger things.  Went for a run this morning and ended up walking most of it as had a little niggle in my knee.  Taking it easy for the rest of the day.  Had ff yogurt with the last of my pineapple and strawberries for breakfast, lunch is another tuna salad and dinner is a huge jacket potato with beans and cheese and I might chuck some salad on the side for a bit of greenery 😆

Hope everyone has a good day and a good weekend, see you all next week!

A complete change of plan with food today apart from breakfast!  DH had a sourdough loaf for our DGD and had arranged with her that we'd take it over once I'd had my physio phone call   The phone call was supposed to happen at 11am.  By 1140 I still hadn't had a call so called the physio department and apparently there had been an emergency in the department and he'd be calling me shortly.  He called about 11.45 and was on the phone for over half hour.  The outcome is that I should get a face to face appointment within the next couple of weeks but we'll see.

Anyway with it being so late I suggested we had lunch first and then went but DH was adamant he wanted to go there and then so we ended up eating out.  I had gammon steak, egg, jacket potato, flat mushroom & peas with a side salad.  Certainly not the best meal I've ever had and probably won't go there again - it's the second time we've been there and not really enjoyed the meal.  Also had a glass of wine which I did enjoy!

This of course means neither of us is feeling hungry so will probably just have a bit of salad this evening. DH will probably have a sandwich but I'm not wasting syns on more bread!

Good luck for WI @Jellybaby and @bubbs tomorrow.
