Well done on all the losses and new front numbers!  Made myself go to zumba last night and glad I did. Felt better for it but do ache a wee bit this morning

Food today is f/f Greek yoghurt, strawberries and mango, probably pea and ham soup from the freezer for lunch and dinner is fakeaway kebab with lots of salad and flatbread.  Think it's a netmums recipe and still to work out syns.  My friend sent it knowing DS would love it and it's done in the slow cooker so would suit me

    Have a good day all.

Afternoon all.  Been freezer shopping this morning so hopefully the only things I'm going to need to buy in July is fruit, veg, bread  and dairy.  Both freezers and fridge and virtually full.

Let us know what the takeaway kebab is like @Jellybaby when you've eaten it.  Sounds like it might be an easy meal as long as there isn't too much prep!

    Today's plan:

B - stuffed mushrooms (used flat mushrooms from TGTG bag) with couscous and various veg chopped into it plus some dried herbs - HEA2; S; F
L - scotch egg, salad (salad mainly from TGTG bag apart from cucumber & pickles) - P; S; F
D - beef stir fry using LO beef from Sunday and veg and noodles from TGTG bag - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
HEB - none planned but may have a couple of Rocky Road later
    Syns - none planned

Meant to say that the onion and rosemary sausages from Aldi are lovely (it's what I used round the boiled eggs); DH actually preferred them to the Linda McCartney ones.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Morning all, not so bright this morning and very little breeze but have taken a chance and done a machine load of washing and hung in out on the line, hopefully it will dry.

Thought about going to group this morning but DH has had to go out in the general direction of where I'd need to go and the traffic is murder so have decided to leave it another week.  I did jump on the scales this morning and have definitely lost quite a bit of the holiday weight - looks like I'm only half pound outside of target so just need to stick to plan again for another week and I should be back into target range but we'll see.

The sticky chicken looks good @bubbs - haven't done that for ages.

Made beef curry yesterday and have split it into 3 lots - not a particularly cheap meal but 1.5lb of beef has made 6 portions with the addition of beans and chickpeas.  Will just need to add some spinach when I reheat it.  Two bags have gone into the freezer and we'll have the other lot for dinner tonight.

    So today's plan is:

B - pepper and mushroom omelette - P; S (pepper and mushrooms from TGTG bag)
    L - stuffed pointy peppers - HEA2; S; F (peppers from TGTG bag)
    D - beef curry and rice - P; S; F (beef from freezer

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.  I can never get sticky chicken to be sticky @bubbs so guess I have to just pour loads of honey in now as well 😆

It was so humid this morning when I went for my run that I had to keep walking rather than running; CV19 really has done a number on my lungs.  It's over 2 years since I had it and still have shortness of breath from time to time.  Have spoken to our Long Covid team at work and apparently I don't meet the criteria for referral 🙄  Anywho, had ff yogurt and strawberries when I got back, lunch will be a tuna salad again and dinner is lentil curry with gunpowder potatoes (a Dishoom recipe) and broccoli.

Got to go and crack on with another busy day.  Hope you all have a good day!

Not a lover of lamb, I was surprised I enjoyed the kebab as much last night.  It was really tasty, if a little too hot for me, but DS loved it. I'll put less cayenne in next time.  It was this recipe  and was only a few minutes prep then into the slow cooker.  I also used the potato peeler to give it the 'shaved' look rather than slicing

Well done for nearly being back in target @joedenise.  I think Covid has left me with fatigue and sore feet and knees @ruby_eskimo but the focus seems to be on age and menopause!

Will need to pop out at lunch time for some more fruit - eating strawberries and nectarines by the bucket load.

    Today's plan:
    B - f/f Greek yoghurt, mango
L - tomato and red pepper soup from the freezer
D - chicken salad (may make potato salad to go with it so 2 syns for salad cream)

    Have a good day all!
