    A wee gain tonight.

Have bought a 12 week countdown so hoping for a stone off in that time.
Well done @beanielou. Having paid for the countdown will be good motivation. 😊👍

  • Hi all,

Dreaded weigh in tonight, the last two weeks I've had a few alcoholic drinks, cake less exercise and an Indian meal out, but I did manage to lose 1.5lbs. Aiming to lose 1st in 9 weeks stretch target is 1st 3.5lbs in time for my Holidays.

Daughter put on 1lb, but she opted for a huge biriani and also had a few drinks last week so expected more. She has 9.5lb to go for target and hoping to reach that in 9 weeks too

That's good going @annabanana82. Well done on your loss. 👏👏👏

Your target of about 1.5lbs a week is very achievable (and daughter's too) . Keep at it!! 👍

Morning all.  Well done on the loss @annabanana82 and I'm sure you and your daughter can hit your targets in that time and that hotel would be getting a strongly worded email from me @Coxy11 but hope you still had a good time on the IOW.

Enjoyed my run last night and felt pretty good for it.  Had a couple of boiled eggs for breakfast with some cherry tomatoes.  Lunch is going to be so soybean paste stew (just to use up some tofu and courgette) and then dinner is a mushroom risotto.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Well done on the loss @annabanana82!  You do really well keeping up the exercise @ruby_eskimo. I used to run years ago but my knees hurt too much now!  I was at Pilates last night and enjoyed it but rather stiff this morning.

Does anyone else get excited about what they're going to eat?  Having meatballs for dinner and can't wait haha.

    Today's plan:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt with strawberries and mango
L - veggie omelette with pickles
D - meatballs in tomato sauce with spaghetti, parmesan (HEXA2)

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all,

It's our silver wedding anniversary today so we are out for a late lunch later with DSis and DMum as DS2 has an exam to get to for 1.30pm and we need to drop him at school.

Well done on the loss @annabanana82 and good that you have a target in sight. Good luck to your DD too - it's lovely that you are supporting each other.

Not sure I've a leg to stand on with the hotel @ruby_eskimo as tariff was room only (although didn't realise that when I booked). I know it was the school holidays/BH weekend so tariffs were higher but their take was that 'not everybody wants breakfast' which I find baffling?! I mean - who doesn't want breakfast?? Especially when someone else is cooking. DH opted for full English for the 2 mornings we booked (£10) and I opted for two poached eggs on WM toast for £5. So that's £30 extra for breakfast on top of the £720 we'd already paid. Just shocking.

Yes @Jellybaby I get excited about food - A LOT - and think about it all the time which is why I'm here lol!!!

    Food today:
B - All Bran Golden Crunch, mullerlight yog, banana - HEB, 0.5
    L - who knows?!
    D - kedgeree - P
    HEA - milk
    Syns - ??

    Have a good day everyone

Happy Anniversary @Coxy11. I'm sure you'll have a lovely day. Enjoy it! 🤗

We've stayed at the Harbour hotel in Brighton a couple of times. The first time, we booked breakfast. The 'starter' buffet was great. I especially liked the red fruits marinated in Earl Grey. The full English was silver service and very mean. The baked beans were in a miniature saucepan, probably no more than a tablespoon at most. Next time we stayed, we went Room Only and had breakfast in Wetherspoons across the road! 🤣

Good to hear that you're back to the running @ruby_eskimo. Personally, I get my exercise from walking and dancing as that's strenuous enough for me. I'll get some swimming in when I'm away but it'll be leisurely. 😉

I look forward to my meals too @Jellybaby. What I find so good about SW is that you can plan really super food, knowing it's healthy and none of this starving yourself because you're on a diet. I found it especially useful during all the lockdowns as planning, cooking and enjoying meals did help to give some structure to days. How do you make your tomato sauce for the meatballs? 🤔

I've just cooked some more brown rice as I had none in the freezer. I prefer to cook it in my largest saucepan and then portion it up the size of the microwave pouches (250g?) and freeze.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P)
    L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
D- veggie chilli (P,S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns- LTL mayo 1

@maman it's a very basic sauce - I saute whatever needs using up but usually onions, mushrooms, peppers etc, add a tin of chopped tomatoes, 200ml stock (I find a whole cube too salty), a squeeze of tomato puree, teaspoon of garlic.  I then blitz it 'til smooth (did this for years to hide veg when the kids were young and DS still prefers it this way!).

Add meatballs and cook gently, add cooked spaghetti and mix through, serve.  Meatballs also have a little garlic and whatever else we fancy ie chilli flakes, oregano, mixed herbs, paprika etc added.
