pipkin, sorry to hear how big your problem is
My son had 1 mouse. He didn't have any luck with various traps, but finally bought one of the sonic plug in thingies and that worked!:D He does have a tiny house, so I'm not saying it would work for you, but if things get desperate enoughIt's been 3 months and he's not seen another one, and we know the original one was coming and going at will:rotfl:

Ok.I'm going to get my confession out of the way tonight while everyone's gone to bed.
I hardly got anything on my list done
OH took me out for lunch so I was late getting home.
I seem to have lost the blade of my blender so couldn't make my soup.
Went shopping and spent 2 hours in tesco scratching my head cos I'd forgotten my (very, very, very long list) and so came home missing some vital ingredients for the baking. Then took about 3 hours to put the shopping away due to WW3 breaking out every time one of the girls looked at eachother, OH getting under my feet and a constant round of phonecalls. (:pPink)
So I'm sitting down to eat a large bag of chocolate buttons which I bought to decorate a gingerbread house I have yet to make and I'm going to give up and go to bed.
Sod it. If all else fails, Thornton's is open until Christmas eve so the sweets may end up being shop bought after all.

HJ - I'm with you I was a failure today, too busy watching the workers put the new bedroom in. Too late now to detail my day - but Kitchen is virtually finished and looks brill, and bedroom taking shape. I'd put a piccy on, but misplaced my camera. The conservatory is like a Jumble Sale, everywhere else is suffering too, cards not written yet, a few presents wrapped (with dh's help) cancelled the weekends caravanning, though with these temperatures not too unhappy, and as it is locally will go for the knees up tomorrow night.
Going to bed soon - Night allMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Oh joy HJ is a mere mortal:j :j :j
Don't despair Haribo, this is a normal day for me ( except I didn't have Dtwins, I had 4 boys, imagine the potential for wars there:rotfl: ) I LOVE shop bought stuff, it's easier:rotfl: Shall I get my coat and never darken OS doors again? I've ordered a bread maker!!!!!! Does that get me re-admitted:D
I've got a big family party tomorrow, and I still have to wrap about 16 presents:rolleyes: I'll have another glass of wine and then do another one:DYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Excuse me? How many times did I phone you today?? And how many times did you phone me??:p I knew you'd eat those buttons!
Hilstep, Glad to hear your mum can have the tube.
Pen Pen, Sorry to hear about your and your colleagues jobs, I hope you and your colleague are able to share the 18 hour post. As others have said it is ridiculous that the CAB don't get government funding.
Aussie, I loved your post with Haribo's revised list for the day!
I know that there are others that I need to mention but my mind's gone blank...nothing to do with the couple of glasses of wine I've had of course!
Work is over for another week and I'm really really tired. The mad birthday/Christmas week begins now. Tomorrow is a shopping and cooking day. Hopefully catch up with you all properly then.
Sleep well,

If you plan on having one glass with each present I hope they are simple shapes you're wrapping.
Pink.....Hope you enjoyed your biscuits. :rotfl:0 -
No Haribo, they're not simple shapes!!!!! I'm at the s*dding awkward ones now, since I've wrapped all the boxed ones:o :rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Is it yesterday or to-day...haven't been to bed yet so must be yesterday...hows that for drivel??
Got our Christmas tree to-day and whatever OH did to tree stand, he needs to get another one to-morrow.....there are half a dozen in some of our many sheds but will he look and for heaven's sake how do you break a bl&&dy tree stand...the man should be locked up for his own safety and that of people around him!
Have spent quite a bit of time to-day reading the thread on what people will do if prices continue to rise...very interesting and informative.
Hugs to all who are in need or want
Sleep well,

Just have another wee snifter and they will become easier eventually. And if they don't you won't care and your guests will be too preoccupied with the sight of you lying comatose and dribbling in a tangled web of sellotape and ribbon to care much about the wrapping.
Just ask Pink. At Christmas we are just grateful if she's managed to get our presents into a Tesco bag and is still vertical by breakfast time.
And don't think I don't know it was you witches sitting round your virtual cauldron who scuppered my plans for today with your voodoo and eye of bat (or should that be snake)etc
