Here's D&DD's recipe for Rainbow Buns. Her carrot cake is the best I've tasted, too :T

    Thanks Pen-Pen and D&DD.

They sound gorgeous - I will try these over the weekend.

I've not tried her carrot cake yet but the rainbow buns are lovely and so pretty, Pipkin. :D

Sorry to hear about the problems at work, too Pen. As someone else mentioned on here, such a bad time of year for them to lose funding in that area. Was listening to a report to say how desperate some become after realising their financial state in the new year. Been there myself in the past. :o

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :santa2:Hello!

Just popping on quickly before I dash into town, I have a hygenist appointment and then I will get the last bits we need including Christmas radio times and then get the heck out of there as quick as I can!:D

Last night we got the decorations and tree out of the loft, have taken dd's advice and put just the bare tree up for now so that puppys curiosity is sated before all the decs go on! Have also barricaded the tree off with large boxes (in Christmas colours)

Breakfast was a yummy choc and beetroot muffin and vit c drink, lunch is soup and dinner will be leftovers as oh has his works Christmas meal today. Decoration for the day is a musical box nativity scene, made in Germany in unpainted wood. Plays Silent Night! :xmastree:

Pen Pen - sorry to hear about your department cuts such a shame that cuts are made in such an essential service.

    Have a good day!

    Catz x

Oooooh I'm back to normal :D

In my calendar today - a robin :D

Miss tru has to see the orthodontist today at 9.30 then we're dropping her off at her boyfriend's house - she doesn't get to see him much because she works days and he works 2.30pm - midnight. We're going Christmas food shopping :j and also into town, we don't need to go but I love it at this time of year (I usually hate town with a passion) when we can wander around and keep stopping in coffee bars. It feels all Christmassy and it's hilarious to watch everyone rushing about trying to find the perfect present :D Mr tru wants to go to his fave beer shop

Well, I've emptied the DW and that's all I'm doing today :D Out for a meal with friends tonight, not in a posh restaurant (I don't do those lol) but in a pub.

    Good Morning All

Glad to see you back on line Amie
Blairweech - hope you get that window sorted out!
GB - I like those little red cherry lights! Never think of putting large photo files on dvd's. Thanks for the tip.
redruby - glad DD has made up with her friend!
moiliere - glad you got the tv sorted! if your not used to wide screen, it will take a while to get used to.
(((hugs))) to ageandjo, enjoy Harrods! Not sure I like the idea of pre-cooking the roast potatoes. Mine will be done on the day!
mrs-mix - sorry to hear your having problems with the delay of the settee. Lets hope they stick to their word. I must say also, on how patient you are!
Haribo - my DD must have written at least 45 cards. DS hasn't bothered this year! I always buy the cards the in January sale for next Christmas!
Pen-Pen - what a shame about the CAB.
Charliesmum - its nice when people decorate the crem this time of the year. I'll be going up on Xmas Eve, as it would have been Grandads birthday on Xmas Day. Im the only one in the family who visits & lays flowers etc!
tired mum - hope your neighbours ok! What a shame!

Today is the day of my friends funeral. As much as I wanted to go, I cant, as the God (my boss) has spoken and without even asking how we're feeling or if we would like to go, the decision was made for us and we're to stay at work! If she wasn't 8 months pregnant, I would throw her off the balcony at work!

Anyway, will visit the East Midlands Outlet shopping centre when OH finishes work later. Will pop into M&S whilst there and see if owt takes my fancy, and spend my Xmas bonus vouchers I got from work. I know I should spend them on me! (for a change) but my heart tells me to visit the food store & buy lovely treats/nibbles for us all!

Right off to get ready for work
    Have a great day
    Love Emma xxx

PenPen Sorry to hear about the job cuts. I'm sure something else will come up in the New Year. Maybe work on a pig farm would float your boat. :D
Tru What a sweet little thing you found in your calender today.
Ageandjo Had a lovely strawberry thickshake in Harrods. Enjoy your day. How's your sister?
Cheerfulness I hope DS gets to work OK in those conditions.

Just had a big disaster in the kitchen. Finished tea, done the dishes and decided to tip out the ginger beer I"d made a few weeks ago. I made the executive decision today that it was a dud. It made 4 bottles. The fourth exploded when I opened it and it went off like a rocket. Sprayed all up the windows, walls, ceiling, kitchen floor, bench, over clean dishes & then dropped onto the dining floor. What a mess. I have just cleaned up now and waiting for the floors to dry so I can go and have a shower as I'm a sticky mess.

    Off to check now. Byeeeeeeeee
Belated birthday wishes to Miss PP. I thought I had written it yesterday.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning All

We are full of cold so if anybody has any full proof idea for getting medicine down a 3yr old it would be much appriciated.

Today I need to do some more washing and I also need to go to Mr T's to get some bits as I have no cheese for pizza that I had planned for tea.

Apart from that I will proberbly deliver some xmas cards while I out.
