Can anyone comment when they last ran one of these?

Memory is hazy but i THINK it was something like £125 up front and then £50 after 6 months or 12 months or whatever if that jogs anyones memory?

I took advantage of it and i THINK it was before April 2020 but not 100% sure. If so then I can go ahead with this again.
Well nobody has answered this but in case anyone else took advantage of the offer I mention above & also can't remember when it was

I've just got off the phone to them and my switch completed January 2019.

I do remember that I didn't bag the switch early after it was released so anyway, if you took advantage of it also & like me can't remember when it was then you should be good to go with this one.
To be fair myth123 did answer it, albeit indirectly, immediately after your post, saying they had a Halifax incentive in August 2020.  Which tells us that a switch offer was in place then.

Just checked my Rewards account and I'm the same - incentive given in August 2020 so I don't qualify this time round (and possibly neither do lots of others, so they may not be 'good to go')..

Are you sure they answered it? I read their post and it seems like they didn't. Not that it matters now because i've been on the phone & got the answer myself.

I specifically said the offer at the time was along the lines of £125 up front with an additional £50 some time afterwards to total out £175.

They mentioned their switch deal was £100 which clearly was NOT the same deal as I was on & therefore did not help me at all pinpoint when my switch may have been.

Anyone who has opened or banks with Halifax, is there an option on the app/online banking to change/downgrade your account after the switch?  There is on the lloyds app.

Just a note to make sure everyone reads the small print -

    You can open either -
    • A Reward Current Account (No monthly fee if you pay in more than £1,500 each month otherwise £3 monthly fee to maintain the account)
Which means that the account is no good for people like me who won't be able to pay in more than £1500 pcm and don't want to pay a £3 monthly fee.

    Or you can open -
    • An Ultimate Reward Current Account (£17 monthly fee to maintain the account)
Which is also useless because don't want to pay that fee either.

Is it worth switching for a few months? For me, no.

Nothing stopping you downgrading to a fee-free current account after you are paid the bonus.

Or switching out again straight away?

There's nothing making someone stay with the account and forcing them to pay a fee monthly so I'm quite confused what the complaint is?

Don't you have even £100 you could move into and out of the account for however many times needed to reach the £1.5K/month?

The terms you linked don't say you have to open an account. You may already have one.

Well, to repeat myself, to be fair, they did answer the basic question, which was 'can anyone remember when they last ran one of these?'.  The answer was summer 2020.

If you were specifically wanting to know about your switch, no-one can answer that other than you - or the Halifax, who you subsequently asked.

As for you specifically specifying the incentive amount for the switch you wanted to know about, you specifically didn't. You said your memory was 'hazy' and you 'think' it was £125. The answer of £100 in summer 2020 was actually a direct (but not worded as such) - and perfectly valid - answer to your hazy question!
