So the problem is not the registration conflict but not being able to receive the SMS code if the phone is lost.masonic said:
The process is to enter your phone number and then receive a one-time code by SMS. If your registered device and mobile phone are one and the same and you'd lost/broken this, then you'd need a replacement SIM to have been received and activated in order to complete activation. There is no need to deactivate the old device - a new activation would simply take over.trickydicky14 said:masonic said:
You would need to register a replacement device. It would be advisable to have an alternative source of funds for the few days you might need to address any device issues.phoebe03cat said:So what happens if the phone is lost or stolen or more likely damaged and out of action for a while? How can you access your account to move/withdraw money? Not wishing to sound stupid but, if I needed to replace my phone how exactly would I reregister?
Obviously, I would have to install the Chase app but what then, would you not have conflict having already being registered on your old phone? Sorry can’t get my head round it.
Can I say currently I am very happy with my Chase account, just a little worried if the ‘dodo’ hit the fan

Yes, there are three possible scenarios:1) You receive SMS on the same device registered with Chase, in which case you will need to a replacement device and SIM to access your account;2) You use different devices for the app and SMS and(a) you lose the phone, in which case you can continue using the app and a replacement SIM+phone can be obtained at your leisure(b) you lose your registered device, in which case you just need another compatible device0 -
That‘s right. You‘d want to get a new device, using the same phone number as your lost device, asap, and for a number of other reasons, tooRG2015 said:

If you need to access your account before the replacement SIM is available (assuming you have a safe alternate mobile number and device) you can contact Chase, via the app:Daliah said:

Yes, I pay my credit card in full every month and don't really think of it as a debt repayment.skycatcher said:

The second you buy something on a credit card you are taking on debt as it is not your money you are spending. Just because they don't charge you interest for the first x days doesn't stop it being a debt to the card issuer.RG2015 said:Yes, I pay my credit card in full every month and don't really think of it as a debt repayment.
Not sure what else you could consider it to be?2
