Surely app only banking on a tablet is completely different to app only banking on a tablet.
No, it would be exactly the same 🤣

    Yes it would.🤣

Oh dear, and that was not even typing on mobile.

I have just qualified for my state pension. Is this what it is going to be like from now on.

To keep it simple: you effectively did ask what the difference between 7" and 7" is. I answered this trick Q correctly 🤣

Does anyone know how 'enabling location services' helps in the chase app makes your account more secure ?

I don't usually have location turned on unless I specifically need it for apps (eg. sat nav) but I'd be willing to turn it on when using the Chase app if that increased security.

I had a good look through their help section and the only mention of it I could find was in reference to travelling abroad, where it says "We suggest enabling location services whenever you’re away to help protect you from fraud."

Does it just block access to your account from other countries or would travelling large distances within the UK and using the app cause problems ?

I suspect that if, for example, you paid for something or withdrew cash from an ATM whilst abroad, location services would also show that your phone was in the same place and someone wasn't just using your card details or had stolen your card.

It flags to them your current location. So if your card is suddenly used in Italy and your phone is in the UK, they could probably suspect something might not be right...

Could be annoying though if you had a different phone on holiday?

If your device is not sending location data, it is unlikely they'd act on this signal when authorising transactions. However, they use in-app push notifications to confirm that it's you (and that they are really Chase) if you phone them. It would therefore be a good idea, if possible, to have your device with you if you are relying on your Chase account while abroad.

It will be part of their security algorithms, e.g

phone app in use in UK, and physical transaction in different country triggers a warning somewhere
