Genuine question about app only banking...

Are you only able to have the app running on one device at a time?

If so, what happens if your mobile meets its demise (stolen or dropped down the toilet) and you are unable to uninstall the app.

If you go and buy a new phone will it allow you to reload the app, whilst it's still technically on another device.

I've not previously changed phones, whilst running banking apps.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

I picked a PIN during the application process and the card was sent automatically. It took 5 working days, 29/03-05/04

For Chase. it's registered to a single device. You can register it to a different device by installing the app, logging in and receiving a one-time code by SMS. You don't need to do anything on the old device, so would work if you lost it for example.

As long as you had a replacement SIM with the same phone number.

I can understand that some people are reluctant to open a chase account on a mobile phone. I too would have some reservations as I much prefer online banking.

However, I have no such concerns using Chase on my iPad.

Surely app only banking on a tablet is completely different to app only banking on a tablet   mobile.

Edit. To avoid any further embarrassment, although that particular ship sailed a long time ago.

No, it would be exactly the same 🤣

App on phone vs app on tablet: I can’t see much difference, especially if your tablet has a SIM, apart from the obvious physical ones.

    Really?

You see no difference between a 5 inch screen and minuscule keyboard and a 10 inch screen with a pop up 7 inch keyboard?

Oh, I see that you mention the obvious physical ones. That is what I mean. It is so much more comfortable on a tablet.
