I added a savings account as soon as my current a/c was opened but how do I know which is which?
The one that says 1.5% AER and the piggy bank icon is the savings account. The current account doesn't pay interest.
Aagh I see what's happened, I must have opened a 2nd current a/c, it said' just tap Add+ to open a saver a/c' so I tapped and must have inadvertently touched the top icon which I now see is for a current a/c. Surprised it was so easy to open a 2nd current a/c though
Easier than it will be to close it, I suspect. Hopefully if you message them and tell them you opened the wrong type of account in error they can deal with it for you.

no did it in the app, v simple

Took the plunge myself. Really easy to open and now transferring savings from Marcus at 0.7%. May leave £1 in just incase they get competitive again.
You don't need to leave £1 in there - the account remains open with a zero balance. If Marcus does substantially raise their rates you will be able to transfer your money back into the account.
I logged to transfer the pound this morning and noticed Marcus have increased the interest rate to 1%

They have increased the underlying rate to 0.9% with a bonus rate of 0.1%.

Not sure if it’s compatible but Morgan computers have a 64 bit Samsung A40 5.9" 64GB Smart Phone running Android 9 for just under £100.

It certainly is compatible. I have one, great little phone. Samsung provide regular updates and mine is now on Android 11.

Also i'm having a break from using Chase current account as HSBC have offered me 2% cashback on up to £1000 spend on my credit card over the next 3 months. Churlish not to accept.

My experience with Chase so far:
    - opened account via app last week, took maybe 30 mins all in all, probably less (newest iPhone)
    - started paying with the card via Apple Wallet in shops right away, no issues
    - transferred >25K to the savings account from Marcus (via default current account), no issues
    - received my physical card yesterday, haven't paid live with it yet
    - opened the round-up account too and already have a small amount earning the 5% rate

    - tried adding money via the physical card (using bank details from app since they're not on the card!) to a reloadable gift card I have for M&S, that unfortunately did not go through, need to find out why - I wanted to do a test top-up to see whether I get cashback on this transaction

    - will be abroad shortly so will test the use there, hopefully all goes well

All in all I am quite happy.

I started using my card yesterday and I was able to use it contactlessly with no problems.

My first transaction gave me a 1p round up, and the second one 11p. The second time, I bought some cheese costing £2, one banana and 4 carrots. However, the scales at the till didn't work so I was only asked to pay for the cheese. that's a win even though I didnt get a roundup!

I've moved large sums in and out of my chase account. I only had a problem with my first transaction which failed, but I got a call immediately from Santander and resolved in minutes.

I prefer to transfer only to my current account and then internally transferring to the savings account. Having fun at the moment checking all my accounts to find spare money to throw in there each day as well as closing some regular savers with low interest rates.

    I love the app.

sounds like you've downloaded the US version of their app - you'll need to go back to the app store and search for chase uk.

Yes, I did this too, and realised that I must have the US version.

Unfortunately, the Chase UK app does not appear on my Moto g(6) play running Android 9. It appears that I need 64 GB ROM and I only have 32 GB ROM with 3.00 GB RAM.

On the plus side, my iPad is compatible and I have Chase fully up and running. To be fair, I prefer the large screen.

I would have liked Chase on my mobile for use on the move, but in fact Chase cannot be active on more than one device at the same time. I certainly would not have chosen to reinstall on either of my devices once it was up and running.

So for me it has all worked out well.

Is the bank card sent out automatically or is it something you'd have to request ? I opened my account on Monday last week and haven't received a card yet.
What does it say under the card in the app?
If you didn't pick a card PIN during the account creation, you need to do that in the app, and then a card will be sent.

Thanks for the tip - it actually says 'Order your numberless card' so it looks like cards aren't sent out automatically, as previously suggested. It's fine though as I'm not desperate for one but just wanted to make sure that had one been sent, that it hadn't been lost in the post. Cheers.
