I've found one for 25p...even with postage it's cheaper than @mazon!
i will see...
woke up just, blocked nose on the 'down' side so I've had a sip of water and wordled.
ooh you were close by Ionafan. I took 'my' year twos there the year we had a walkout and they gave me the class full time. Three of them have been back in on work experience. Happy memories.

Good morning!
Valli well done on the new job 😁 I hope you are feeling better and got back to sleep!
Iona & HB I hope you are feeling better too
Narc0 that is so sad to hear about your friends daughter
ASB hugs to you lovely x
Fayolle commiserations on your DH's shopping skills! I hope you have calmed down now. Enjoy your time with DD x
Hugs, sticks & spoons to anyone that I have missed and that needs them!
I am lazing in bed with a cuppa 😁 The rest of the family went out at silly o'clock to the big smoke. DH & DSiL2B are running the London Landmarks half today. I declined the offer of spectating because 1. I don't want to get up at silly o'clock & 2. I have too much to do here! 😂 Whether it gets done or not is to be seen!
I have opened the blinds downstairs, turned the thermostat down 🥵 made a cuppa & put on the DW. I am going to chill for a bit in bed now, as planned!
Later I am going to pop to Mr Ts for some necessities (and probably some unnecessities! Like compost 🤔😁), and then do some gardening - here and at my plot. I have grass to cut, pruning to shred & compost bins to empty!
I also need to WU the pots from last nights dinner, and then continue my knitting later. I am nearing the end of the baby shawl 😊
Have a good Sunday everyone!9 -
Morning all,
Up, breakfasted, but not yet dressed. The much needed second cuppa has not yet been had. Wm running with DD’s washing in - she just brought one bag of washing back, so not too onerous.
We had a couple of friends round last night and turned the heating up from its arctic setting for the occasion, then proceeded to be both fascinated and horrified by watching the smart meter ramp up. This could be the new entertainment for special nights in.
There is a thick frost out this morning, so I am waiting for that to show signs of melting before I make an effort to go the allotment and see if it is dig-able. DD is meeting a friend later on, and will drive herself, the thought of which terrifies me - another fear that I have to deal with.
Iona, Valli, HB - I hope you are all feeling better.
Narc0 - (hugs). My inbox is open if you need it x
GI - enjoy your relaxing day!Have a good day all x10 -
Morning all
Sofas cleaned, one of those jobs I have put off for ages but I figured that if I do it now they will be dry by the time anyone wants s to sit on them. Also one of those jobs that you think will take ages but it didnt. Satisfying to see the colour of the water in the bucket when I had finished.
Shower next. DH wants to go to a big independent garden centre today, and it's out towards the coast so we might take a flask and have a walk on the beach somewhere.
Then it's back to the paid stuff tomorrow after 4 days off so mealplan etc to do. Oh and DS put a load of washing in so I have hung it out, not sure when he is heading back home. Might go and take him a brew.
Have a good Sunday all, take it easy poorlies xxx11 -
And breathe.....
Couldn't understand why I wasn't getting any warmer despite putting the heating on when I got up. Felt the radiator. Stone cold. Checked I'd actually turned on the heating....you never know at my age 😅. I had.
Went upstairs to look at the boiler. Red light!!!! Zero pressure. Stomach turns. Keep breathing.
Phoned the Housing Association. Are you sure it's an emergency? We'll charge you if it isn't! Yes I'm sure. Spoke to a very sleepy sounding woman with a small child in the background who repeated both my date of birth and my telephone number incorrectly.....confidence not inspired.
She'll send the call through to the emergency team.
It's OK. It's not the end of the world. It's a hiccup.
Yesterday I received a touching message from someone telling me how I'd helped her following the death of her 5 year old son.....24 years ago. Apparently she's often wanted to tell me. Yesterday she did. And her timing was immaculate as I've been feeling like a poor excuse for a decent human being recently. And I make mistakes but I'm basically decent.....if one person only sees the bad in me now that doesn't mean I am bad.
So I actually felt a bit better.....oh no says the fates, demons, gremlins, whatever they are, we can't have that. Zap. Broken boiler. Mwahahaha. That'll knock her back down.
Aaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhh.
And yes I know there are much worse things could happen. But can't I be allowed a small reprieve before I drown again.
Sorry. This is the safest place to vent.
Flying? WM x 1. Brew and breakfast partaken.....luckily before I realised there was a problem, as I now feel nauseous.
🤞 I get a call out.

Morning all
Thank you for being so kind. Especially Kaz, for checking in on me and making sure I do the next right thing...
I’ve chucked last week away and am ready to focus on a new one. I was up early to see to the flock, now I’ve had another hour in bed and just enjoyed tea and sourdough toast (made by next door, we swap for eggs).
The laundry dried in front of the fire last night so I won’t do any today. I have decided to tackle the kids rooms, starting with a lick of paint. I can source the white for the ceilings cheap enough, any advice on good coverage emulsion for walls that is inexpensive? I’ll be doing it over the Easter holidays as a bit of a project for us all.
Fayolle - your smart meter comment made me chuckle. In all seriousness though I am constantly thinking when I use anything now how much it’s costing. We may as well not have a gas boiler anymore it is so rarely used!
Love to all xx

MorningASB DID you do the right thing?? I really hope you did, pm box there if you need it and my offer still stands if you need that. xBlimey some of you have been busy, I get very fed up some days, especially currently as I have the diabetic nurse after me........what with lock down and OH's cancer we did eat the wrong things, unfortunately it may have cost me, but I have nearly lost a stone in weight 4lbs to go, then 2 more stone to go, and yes it shouldn't have gone on in the 1st place, as I lost it all a few years back, so I have a blood pressure monitor, and to fetch from post office on Monday blood sugar monitor, I can and will beat this again...................100 mile walk is keeping me focused.Potted my roses on yesterday, only to get up today to find the leaves and buds on 4 of them missing, I reckon the deer came by over night, over the fence, had a feed and left. OH is going apparently to get us a wildlife camera............Daily stuff is doneOH out on his motorbike, going to ride to a local Royal estate, with NND, not sure what they are going to do when they get there, possibly turn round and come back.Have a good dayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

RxxRound, Here is a helpful link from British Gas about how to restore the pressure on your boiler.First of all use google to read the manual for your boiler if you don't already have it in hard copy.Restoring the pressure may well be something you can do readily for yourself. If not, it is wise to leave it to the Housing Association but I would investigate it first so as not to incur a charge.

Thank you Loanranger21. I've read the link, and Googled the boiler make instructions. I think I know what to do. Since I've already called the HA and asked for an emergency repair I'm loathe to give it a go and then have them charge me a call out fee because I fixed it myself. Plus the boiler was recently serviced - February - so there may be a reason why the pressure has dropped. I'm going to ring back the HA and see what's happening. The fact that my telephone number was misread back to me is fuelling the anxiety.
Fayolle - thank you ❤❤
Flying? I've learned a lot about combi boilers- does that count?

Food shop done, and that is about it! I have had a cuppa & unpacked most of the shopping - just the F&V to do. I think I may then have some lunch before heading out into the garden!
Round Don't panic! It will be fine. Deep breaths 😊 And remember, you are amazing! 🥰
