Four day weekend which is nice. OH is home from France late Sunday so we get Monday together.

Will message him today to make the arrangements, thank you for asking as it's made me question myself about why I haven't don't it yet.
Invoice in from kitchen fitter for fitting the skirting and some other work. More than I anticipated as he has charged for literally everything he did and used but can't really dispute it. Will pay it just so I don't have to deal with him again!1 -
I hate those kind of bills too. Good luck sorting the tiler - and hope you have a lovely weekend.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The universe intervened and the tiler messaged me so he is going to check his diary and try and get to us this week.
When we ordered the kitchen, we ordered an extra wall cupboard for the utility room which got removed at some point so we spoke to the kitchen company and ordered it separately. When it arrived it was smashed. It's taken ages to get them to send a replacement, they offered delivery on Thursday last week but that was the one day I was in the office and OH is away - it's now being delivered this coming Thursday so hopefully we can get that up next weekend.
Still need to sort ceiling lights for the kitchen - we can do that this week once OH is home.
Our hob came with two types of extractor filters, one of which we can't use. I listed it on eBay and forgot about it and it sold yesterday for £40 (someone got a bargain!) The buyer selected Evri as the courier which was great as my Olio collection last night was at a store which does Evri collections so that's been sent off.
£34.02 sent to the mortgage OP = £528 OPs since October. My target was £520 (equivalent to one month's interest) in 12 months so I've smashed that adn I reckon I'll aim for £1,000 before October now!
Mortgage is currently £305,046 and we should be under £300k in September - I'm going to aim to bring that forward to August as that will be a huge psychological barrier.5 -
Just checked previous frozen LGPS from last job and logged the latest value. Need to log in to current scheme and get latest value.
Just set up regular payment to S&S ISA (had cancelled it late last FY and sent all money to pension instead for a while) so will pay £200 to SIPP and £300 to S&S ISA from June. The S&S ISA is to give me flexibility if I can't access SIPP until 10 years pre SRA and want to retire at 55 (still my aim!) This is on top of my contributions to current LGPS. I don't do AVCs as can't take them before DB pension so they don't give me as much flexibility, despite the tax benefits.
Am more concerned about OH's pension arrangements so need to sit down with him in next few weeks and see where his pot is and what we can do to increase it.5 -
Well done on the sale and the mortgage OP.
Hope all the kitchen and utility get finished soon.
Well done for chasing up your pensions.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

All headed in the right direction. Disappointing on the dress. They may be waiting to see if you reduce it.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
