    All sounds very exciting over here - how wonderful to have your dream kitchen

    I also need to get this Vinted selling started .. I accidentally bought something instead on there this week (!) so your experience is good to read and I am promising myself 10 items are going up this weekend
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
    No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

    Money shuffled and all landed where it needs to be.  £800ish interest due in from OH's cash ISA maturing this month which is nice.  It can then be transferred in to the ISA we opened for him this financial year which has a higher interest rate despite being flexible / variable.

    Mortgage = £306,246, reduction of £1,248 last month.

    WIOTW = £294,025.

    As mentioned, this is unlikely to reduce much end of March (in fact, if we have a bill in from the workshop working on OH's latest project we may even go backwards) but I'm hoping to start reducing this in April.

    Glad you were able to keep on top of the delivery and trades people. It's not easy. Nearly over the line now.

    Been a while since I posted.  Kitchen fitting is moving along at an agonisingly slow pace but is all being done properly. Looks like we might go over into a third week!!

    Fitter was a PITA to start with but has mellowed as time has gone on and we are considering asking him to quote for the wet room when we get to that project. We know it will be done to the nth degree!

    Not done much on PA lately but up to £401 / £520 on OPs.

    In big news I got the lead role in my department so am now second tier management - gulp!!  Will be a challenge but will be good to get involved in something new and will give me experience of a different area if I wanted to move jobs in the future.

    Extra salary will mean more going in to DB pot and by my calculations will mean an extra £500 a year in my pot if I retire at 55 and freeze it until SPA.  Will obviously also increase contributions to SIPP and S&S ISA in April as well so all plays into my FIRE plans.

    Been very spendy on food lately with all the disrupted kitchen arrangements - lots of ready meals and prepped veg.  Looking forward to getting back to batch cooking and meal planning some healthier menus.

    I'm off next week which is very welcome!!  Hope to be able to start sorting the house out but suspect most of next week we will still have trades people in as once the fitter is done we need the walls tiling and skirting fitted.

    Have been suffering badly with carpal tunnel recently - I had steroid injection late last year but has not really helped.  Waiting to see specialist but have been to see an osteopath in the meantime and had acupuncture.  Seems to have eased up a bit which is good news.  Got another session today which hopefully will help.

    In desperation at being unable to sleep last week, I booked an appointment with a private hospital which is next week.  If things continue I will cancel this and wait for the appointment on the NHS.  It's over £2k to go private - I would pay it if things remained as bad as they were last week as I was struggling to function on the lack of sleep but if I can keep at this level I'd rather have it done on the NHS so that any issues are their responsibility!

    Glad your kitchen is progressing even if more slowly than you hoped.

    Well done on the promotion. Love your future plans too. Things are coming together.
