nuna are not recalling as it still meets the required safety standard and in some areas exceeds it. The researchers will not release the research conditions I.e weight speed etc so nuna are unable to look at the issue in detail. However they are offering refunds.flowerapplerabbit said:
Useful to hear there is a precedent for it though @jjjggg333, I'll mention that too
Gesture of good will & nothing else.Life in the slow lane0 -
Great. So we're all in agreement that there's a precedent for a manufacturer offering a good will refund for a seat that is legally compliant, which may or may not mean other manufacturers do when the same situation arises. Good on Nuna, hopefully Chicco are as customer orientated.born_again said:

Oh and BTW Nuna didn't initially. Persistence pays off.0

No, because someone else doing it once isn't really "precedent" in most normal peoples' understanding of that word.jjjggg333 said:

@FeaturelessVoid, how many examples create a precedent?0
-
@FeaturelessVoid - I just looked it up and it seems to be exactly the term I should be using. However, I wonder if to avoid it riling you/anyone else further and to aid your understanding, we just call the Nuna case 'a previous relevant example for consideration'?noun/ˈprɛsɪd(ə)nt/
- an earlier event or action that is regarded as an example or guide to be considered in subsequent similar circumstances.

Hi all,
Wanted to update everyone who's been involved in this thread. @powerful_Rogue @k3lvc @flowerapplerabbit @jimbo6977 @born_again @FeaturelessVoid @Aylesbury_Duck
Chicco have today confirmed as a gesture of goodwill they will offer an exchange for one of their other car seats.
Great to see a company act with such understanding for their customers.
That's both Nuna and Chicco now.

I got the same @jjjggg333 ! Very pleased. For anyone interested, I asked them for details of their own safety tests as they initially dismissed the Which? test, and asked how they were living up to their brand values. Had to get the email to the right department I think. My main tip is it's worth persevering and giving it a try. Hope that's useful in case any of you find yourselves in a similar situation.1

That's great customer service. Disappointed with the lack of hamper action, though!jjjggg333 said:Hi all,
