Thanks both. I did not sleep at all well - even with a fan and a damp towel (and both windows open, but there’d need to be some breeze for that to make a difference) the heat was unbearable until it started getting light. And all the fluids had their predictable effect, and I’d not shut the cats out as I wanted to be sure they weren’t getting too hot, so B&W cat wanted to wake me about 1. And then neighbours opposite decided to have a loud conversation at about 5.30 (I think they may have been sending their eldest off travelling or something, but come on, the one night you can guarantee everyone has their windows wide and you decide to have a very loud conversation at that time of the morning 😡). So very little sleep and a banging headache first thing that cold & flu tablets didn’t touch. Came downstairs and fed cats and had a nap in the darker and cooler living room (we’ve been thinking about fitted blackout blinds for the bedroom for a while, now I’m decided that they are a necessity!), which has somewhat shifted the headache.
Have done work that arrived overnight from Americans and would like to do an hour for Cambridge if possible, but will see how I feel. Wish my new laptop was here as it would make lazy working much easier. Have to go and feed a cat elsewhere soon - will be pre-cooling the car before I go out though, the wonders of EVs!MS things:

Thanks ladies, sorry, I was rather grumpy this morning! Can’t say I feel any better but definitely looking forward to more normal temps tomorrow. Mr MV is having a shocker of a journey back from Liverpool, so not sure what time he’ll be home. If we want dinner tonight (we may not), it may well be takeaway, if that’s available.
Visited cat and explained to owners that I wasn’t well, hence mask (they have a camera). Thought (as I was enjoying the car’s air con) that I could get a McDonald’s frappe while I was out - using their deliver to the car from an app ordering system - then I’d just tell them to leave it on the bonnet and collect when they’d gone. Well it never turned up even though the app said it had been delivered!! Was sat in the car park for 20 mins before I realised what had happened and gave up. Got on their help chat when I got home and got my money back and a £10 off voucher, so I have (just about) forgiven them. Poor that there was no way to raise an issue with the order in the app though.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

You're not grumpy, you're ill! How fascinating that the owners camera means you have to communicate with them about the mask - its a new world out there!2023: the year I get to buy a car5

Morning all,
Feeling rather breathless and heavy this morning whenever I try to move, so taking things very slowly. I do feel a bit clearer in the head - the cold side of things is drying up a bit, although still sneezing and coughing plenty. I slept last night too - had the door closed so no cats and took the windows off their restrictors, so there was a good through breeze (dual aspect room). Do still have a bit of a temperature though based on the fact I keep getting very hot for no reason at all - it's much cooler here today.
Mr MV didn't get home until gone 7.30 last night but he did bring takeaway, which was much appreciated - turns out I was starving. Still not really fancying food though. Stood on the scales this morning and appear to have lost the best part of 2kg, so that's something!
Am going to attempt some Cambridge work in a bit, but will not be straining myself. And will feed cat this evening when it's cooler still and hopefully raining. Could do without it, but I can't do much about that - it's only today and tomorrow in any case.
MS things:
* Clicks done
* £15 GFK TV survey voucher won(I save all the points and then enter all at once to increase my chances - usually results in a win)
* £24.48 on 1P now.... would love to get this cashed out today but know what they are like about making you wait!
* YG 200 point survey just done
Gratitudes:
* Mr MV wasn't ridiculously late last night - the traffic eventually improved for him
* Sleep
* A small amount of rain yesterday and more forecast for today - not going to get down to allotment for a while at this rate so at least it'll get some water

It’s so frustrating not being able to get on with things! And I have no appetite either, which is so unlike me. Hope the chills ease for you soon- they’re horrible!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
