The trains did not behave today. The first one was cancelled. Good job i checked before leaving home so I caught the earlier one and changed in the big city instead of at the smaller one where I dont have to change platforms. The rest of the outward journey was ok and only 3minutes late, Coming home the first train was late so I missed the connection, the 2nd train which is and hour later was fine and the 3rd one was late. The annoying thin is that although I ended up an hour and a quarter late I cant claim on delay repay becauuse each late trains were less than 15 minutes late and they are different companies so both would reject the claim. Just to add to the lousy trains I went up in the lift from the first train and then found the lift down to the other platform wasnt working. Fortunately I found a railway chap to help me down with my case of books although I dont think he was happy about it. 

Nice to see my BiL who is looking better than last time I saw him, He had usual kidneys for mr LH and a tub full of blackberries. Fish and chip supper on return and now I am going to relax. I havent even read the othher diaries tonight so will catch up tomorrow.

I can’t believe in this day and age it’s still such an ordeal to catch a train and have a smooth journey. And then they want paying more for it, unbelievable 🤬

Good news your BIL is looking better. He’s lucky to have you to visit him.

The train situation is beyond a joke.   I got dumped at a station three stops before mine,  should have been another fifteen minutes.  To go round an hour Forty

The trains are so unreliable at the moment with the overtime bans and strikes. The first train had no crew, then the others were affected by a signalling failure or as mr LH said someone hit a cable. It makes a long day even longer.

I am am annoyed by an ebay seller as I ordered a book and the seller has refunded the payment. OK fair enough stuff happens but I have had no contact or apology from them which is just rude. I will find it somewhere else.

We had a lovely time seeing Miss Ws fosterer and spent a lot of time talking about dogs which is always good for us. She has had some health problems so it is a fair while since she visited. I am a little anxious about Bears previous owners visiting tomorrow in case it upsets or confuses him. Mr LH thinks it will be fine but wa shall see.

I dont seem to have stopped today. Out to buy lunch first thing having flung a quick duster round the downstairs then  our or, a dog walk and finally shopping shopping. I did manage a very short nap before dinner which was a bit late as mr LH went blackberrying. I have also bought my first Chritmas present or at least the makings for it. We have a friend who drinks vodka so last year we made her blackberry vodka this year she is getting the strawberry version.

Right off to put Bears harness on and prepare coffee amd bears lick mat for when he and Lh return from their walk.

The visit went pretty well and they were very pleased to see him. It took Bear quite a while to recognise them but once he did his tail was going mad and he was very happy to see them. They are happy he is looking good and we showed them some of the new things he has learned.

Nothing else to report except a friend has boght a piece of pork which is too big for her husband (she is veggie) so she is passing it to us and we are giving her blackberrys that came from my bil as they are frozen which doesnt work very well in vodka. I think I got the best of that exchange although I did offer to pay for the pork.

I haven't looked for blackberries yet but I've seen reports they are available

Friend brought the pork round so tahats in the freezer but I forgot to give her the blackberries but as they are frozen there is no rush.

Its going to be an expensive week as mr Lh is off to a festival so got some of the shopping today and will finish it tomorrow when he will take me in the car so I can get the heavy stuff also known as alcohol. 2 items sold this weekend which I had only just listed. I will get more done while he is away.

I have got out his stuff for camping including his winter quilt so there will be less to do tomorrow or Wednesday.

Bear has had his run in the enclosed field and just as we were going the fields owner turned up so we have now met her. As usual he passed out for the afternoon when we got home. We are trying to get him to watch us on his walks rather than being too alert to his surroundings. For the first time he would walk two or three steps while concentrating on me so that is something else doing well.

One load of washing done and hung up to dry.

Must go Bear is nagging to go for his walk.
