No Bear isnt going to the festival. His behaviour is not reliable enough yet so he will be at home with me. Yes winter quilt. He uses it to lie on and then has a sleeping bag, blanket and if needed a hot water bottle - he really does feel the cold or even a mild chill in the air.

2 hours spent baking this morning then ages clearing up the mess I had made. I am a very messy cook in a small kitchen. Finished the shopping this afternoon for his stuff and a birthday card for dd on Thursday.

The bus company have at last released the time table and route of the bus from Sept. Frequency reduced to half hourly rather than every 20 mins but there is now and hourly evening service until 10pm. It also will have a convoluted route so will take longer to get into town but I will now be able to access our local charity shops so it is swings and roundabouts.

The car is partially packed for tomorrowso hopefully he wont get too stressed before leaving. My plans are are to do some cleaning and tidying I cant do when he is here because of noise waking him in the morning and by pm I am weary. to say the least.

Meters read today so should get the bill in the next day or two. Cashed out £5 on surveys so that £10 that should come to paypal soon. Nothing else for today.

Mr LH eventually left this morning after spending about an hour and a half loading the car. I reckon it would have taken me about 20 at the most bearing in mind it was half loaded yesterday. He even has a list to work from so doesnt really have to think what needs to go.  He rang to say he had arrived safely.

Bear keeps watching out for him so he isnt happy one of his pack is missing. A very short walk this afternoon as it was far too warm for a black dog not to mention his owner.

One of my treats when mr LH is away is beefburger and chips so having bought a large packet I went to cook some tonight to find there was only one burger in the packet. I am not a happy bunny tonight espaecially as I know the packet he always takes will come back defrosted but unopened.

Today a small amount of ironig done (as little as possible), a huge amount of paper shredded (3 large bin liners full), a bedspread washed and other washing folded and put away. Not a lot done but I feel very tired tonight. I was hoping to take the hedge trimmer to the shrubs in the front garden but by the time mr LH went the sun was at the front of the house so far too hot for me. It wont get done tomorrow as it is dd birthday  so I will go and see her in the morning and if the forecast is right it will again be too hot.  I will hope for the best..

Yes there has been some relaxing time. I am sitting typing this as Mr LH empties the van which is a treat as usually I do it.We had the burgers he brought back for dinner so that is a saving as usually he manages to squash them beyond recognition so they end up in the bin which grieves me mightily.
We usually end up pulling the lounge curtains in the afternoon on sunny days as the sun comes in and hits us right in the eyes. I have started to open them when the sun goes off so we dont have to put the light on so early,
In other good news when I was clearing the cupboard under the stairs I found  apound coin. I tend to chuck them in my shopping bag when I return the trolley and sometimes forget to get them out.so that is a gain. Another one is Mr LH has not drunk much of his alcohol so that will be fairly economical over the next couple of weeks. He has drunk plenty of other peoples from I what I can gather. In fact I dont think we will need much shopping at all this week. I will do the list tomorrow morning.

Bear was over the moon to see Mr LH home and really enjoyed his lunchtime walk as the walking is that much faster than I can manage. I do go with them but only do part of it. How much depends on how I feel. Bears field day tomorrow which I am sure he will enjoy as he has been a little short changed the last few days.

Re the trimmer...I was with my mother, aunt and cousin cutting my granddad's hedge.  My aunt managed to cut through the cable not once, but twice.  The second time her comments have become a family legend: 'Privet shouldn't be allowed to grow this tall; in fact, it shouldn't be allowed to grow at all.' To be fair, it was 30 foot high at the time.  It's so easily done...onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx
