A very slow day today a I have felt weary all day. I must remeber to change the clock later. I did get to the PO, charity shop and the two supermarkets. I have decided to keep anote of all expenditure in my diary - I have tried this before but tend to forget so I must get myself into the habit of leaving the diary open before I leave for shopping and to get receipts as I often refuse them. One load of washing done and hung in the bedroom so with the sun this afternoon it will hopefully dry by tomorrow. We didnt go to Lidl for gluhwein as I was so muddy from the field I thought tramping it over their floors wasnt really on. Mr LH is happy to pop iin tomeorrow when we are out shopping.A friend popped in this afternoon fortunately after my nap so a nice sociable cup of tea. I heard from my friend with the son in hospital last night they did CT scans on his head yesterday and she was due to see the consultant today so hopefully I will hear something later. She was given a relative room at the hospital last night but they arent happy about it as there is no emergency pull cord and she is disabled due to two strokes and other health problems. The fact she lives alone seems to have escaped them. I did suggest as she is his NoK and lives in the north of Scotland they might have a problem if they needed her urgently for any reason and she cannot afford to keep paying hotel prices so will be forced to go home. Not a nice situation for her.Off to start looking at a general budget for the next year but obviously it will be rough at the moment as will have to be adjusted as and when as no doubt there will be lots of price rises.3

The ggp appointment went quite well ad she didnt mention my weight at all which was a surprise. I have to have blood tests, x ray, lung function test and ecg and then see her again in about a month when all the results should be in. I wasnt expecting an answer today so all is good.I did walk to the gp and back I intended to get a taxi home but when I rang I ws third in the queue just to order one so I walked it. It wouldnt have been so bad but I had bought a large bottle of sunflower oil to clean the deep fat fryer and also 4 books from the charity shop and I only had one bag with me so ended up with the oil under my arm.Bear didnt get much of a walk at lunchtime as we got part way and the heavens opened with hail. I gave mr LH the house key and he went ahead with Bear as I cant walk as fast as them. I was a bit wet when I gor home.My Friends son was operated on this afternoon and has come through it well. She can see him tomorrow mid morning. I think there will be further operations when he is a bit stronger. Not looking forward to the weather in the next 24 hours but at least we are in the west not on the south coast or even worse in Jersey. I hope all in the reallly bad areas stay safe.4

A very short one tonight. I have friends on the IoW who said last night was horrendous but no damage and they are safe thank goodness although her dd has a leaky roof which to be fair the landlord is sorting out. My BiL lives just north of the IoW but still very near the coast but he too has not had any damage. My heartfelt sympathy to those who have been affected. Many years ago we lost our shop front in a storm and it was very frightening to see especially as I was on my own at the time. I was shaking so much I could barely dial the phone to get us boarded up.I have done almost nothing today as I was having breathing trouble when I walked Bear this morning and have been very tired. I think walking to and from the gP was too much. I am a little worried about the blood test tomeorrow as getting a taxi home will be difficult as my appointment is at 8.20am and the taxis will be pretty well booked up until after 9am with school runs. I am not walking both ways again.I wont bore you any more tonight.3

Had the blood tests and got soaked walking there. The nurse was lovely, found a vein first time and unusually the blood flowed well. I had a half hour wait for a taxi which was painful as there are no seats anywhere and standing is hard. If the controller had said it would be that long I would have gone for a supermarket cup of tea but the way he spoke it would only be a few minutes. My fault for not asking. The hospital rang and I have an appointment for my xray next friday and the Friday after is the lung function test. No sign of the ecg yet but as the dr didnt really have concerns about my heart that is probably the least important and she was just being thorough.I have ordered carpet cleaning stuff at 50p cheaper than argos and it comes straight to my door all being well. I cant find any for my machine locally except at the aforementioned store.Mr LH has finished sorting the car cills out today and only has a coouple of small jobs left before it goes for MOT in January. Unfortunately he needs a new leisure battery to run the fridge etc. when he is away. To be fair to him the one he is using is the old one from the car and it has finally given up the ghost and wont charge properly. All in all today is definately not a no spend day.We now have a clean deep fat fryer which is a job I hate. Nothing much else to say tonight.5
