Valli, Have you looked here? Do PM me if you want any other bits and pieces that might fall into my in-tray from genealogical and other sites. Things like jobs / tools / clothing / homes / the Big House v little cottage in the village come to my mind, especially comparing to what we do / wear / use / live in today. I used to love teaching local history.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Pigpen, I'm so sorry to hear that Twinkle has had to undergo so many different tests. I hope the results give a clear diagnosis and point the way to the best course of treatment so that she and you both feel a lot better very soon xx
Valli, that sounds good. I would love to be a fly on the wall in your class!
DH has been discharged and is back home. The respiratory consultants have decided that his frequent chest infection have been caused by asthma which has been untreated for about 12 years because some doctor somewhere told him at that time that he no longer had the condition and therefore did not need to use an inhaler. I delivered his clothes to the ward and then waited for an hour in the hospital corridor while he got changed and was eventually wheeled out of the ward. The porter was very helpful and took him all the way outside to the pick-up zone, and stayed with him until I brought the car round. Mind you, DH nearly got turfed out of the car almost as soon as we set off: he got my back up by telling me about all the messages that he had been posting in the FB groups for his SW group and his war games clubs, and the many responses he had received. He clearly thought that it was more important to contact those people than to find a way of communicating with me, until I PM'd him. He is also moaning about having missed some important meetings (mind you, no-one has rung to find out if he's ok!), and complaining that I say it's his own fault. I am seriously considering renaming him SH - choose your own interpretation.
Sorry, I'm tired, I'm fed up, and it's been a non-productive day. However, having searched all possible hiding place, a short time ago I started looking for the bank log-in device in the impossible places. Almost immediately I discovered it at the bottom of one of my A4 desktop storage drawers which is clearly marked "Labels" and normally only contains odd half-sheets of those and some post-it notes. No, I am not blaming SH for that - he has not been upstairs for weeks - but I must have been quite stressed to have put the device in such an illogical place. It's the next drawer along that is labelled "Bank"
Let's hope that tomorrow is a better day for all of us who need it to be. (((Hugs))) all round xxx

Wow, you lot are all amazing, I so wish you were physically as close as you feel, I would have you all round for a cup of something. You all leave me lost for words.
Bed stripped and in WM
Windows open, I'd better go and close them soon as it's below freezing
DW sorted by OH
Banking & spreadsheets checked
I must admit my OH is responding very well to training. He has understood the zero tolerance on tidy. We have different priorities as far as where we should concentrate on but the result is we both do different bits and little by little those bits are joining up.
So today is clean the living room and continue with the kitchen stove.
Rushing up to close windows as I'm cold now

I have paid the outstanding church bill and put the doofah away in its proper place
Nobody else is going to get breakfast at a reasonable time, so I suppose it's up to me... Catch up later.7 -
Morning all
stress dream where three y2 boys (from the other class I teach) let go of the rope at the edge of the lake we walk through to get to assembly, carried on walking and ended up with water over their heads. I managed to haul them out, get them dry with tea towels and find sufficient oversized clothing to dress them in. I was most anxious they had hot baths as soon as they got home and that their clothes were soaked and washed otherwise they would stink. 😆 😂
by the way we don't walk through a lake. There isnt even a lake...
Bin out. If all goes to plan the pen set which was my sister's will be on its way to my nephew later. It's initialled, they have the same initial.

Everyone back at school, hopefully for the full day because I am done!!
I am wondering if I should ring the paeds secretary about the appointment yesterday and mention we also have Osteogenesis imperfecta in the family.. my great aunt, uncle, 2 cousins and a second cousin all have it.. so there is a small chance for mine.. I may just wait and see what comes back, it may show up in these tests tbh but maybe they need to be specifically looking.. I don't know what to do.. it would show up as a calcium abnormality anyway and they did the bne density/calcium as well.. I'm ok to leave it aren't I?
I'm still angry.. and upset.. and I refuse to talk to OH until he at least makes some effort to fix this.. DD1 is kind of the go between which I feel is a bit of a betrayal.. I moan at her and she goes straight and tells him.. I don't feel like I have anyone to talk to at all. I can't find a different tap I love like this this one but I can't have it now because every time I look at it I will be reminded of how OH made me feel about it. It's almost like grief.. I know that sounds silly but I wanted it for so long..mumtoomany said:We have five children, 3 girls and 2 boys, who started life as 4 girls and 1 boy. All five are somewhere on the asbergers spectrum. Two are gay, two dyslexic, three discalculic. Eldest daughter and her husband and their three children share the house with us, bought between us, until they finish building theirs next door. Youngest daughter lives here too. Also have one, rather inefficient, sheep dog, 26 sheep, with lambs due in April, 11 hens and 2 cockerels, ( technically one is not a cockerel as he is over one year old, but I can't put the shorter word!)
DW finished, needs loading again. Some knitting sewn up, while i had coffee. Fridge door sorted. It's not closed properly for about a month! I think it's been moved and the floor is so uneven it stopped it closing. OH fixed it, told you he was getting trained, only a month of asking. Might venture outside now.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xx
I have 12.. 2 boys, 10 girls (started with 3 boys and 9 girls) .. 9 have autistic spectrum diagnoses and the other 3 wouldn't surprise me.. some of mine are too little to be aware of sexuality but we have an eclectic mix too.. my second daughter was very upset we didn't fuss when she said 'this is my girlfriend, Claire' and we all said 'hello Claire' .. lol..
I'd have a menagerie if I could but we don't have the space, time or money .. fortunately, says OH.
I need to get some washing out today.. I have loads of towels to wash and they have to go out but Moomin brought her stuff down so my kitchen is full.recycling to go outbathroom bin to emptyList another box full on V!nted.. I had to block someone who was being very rude yesterday.. demanding I use a postal option where I need to drop off at a place I can't walk to so they sould save £1 on postage.. never mind my health!!! Anyway.. I do not need to sell an item that desperately I would give in to bullying. I said @i'm sorry, I do not use those courier services' and blocked her.. there is just no need.Squeak has Tursday morning off.. she used to do spelling and handwriting but she has orchestra and cello lesson until late and it was too much.. it made an 11 hour day for her!!
Ordered Boog a Goots tshirt and a tin of mini eggs for their 23rd birthday tomorrow..ooh I have a Flower Princess Twinkle pic..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
