Had a long lunch and post lunch chat with my friend so lovely to catch up.
2 house visits planned for Saturday afternoon so need to get on with cleaning. So many windows to clean. Panic!
A bit of admin sorted
Miscellaneous cutlery drawer sorted and some knives in give away box.
I'm about to try and clean up and polish my wood burning stove in the kitchen to make it look more attractive when people visit, so off to hunt for brass cleaner. Let's hope I remember the French for brass when I see it.

Brass (laiton in French) polish found, and fine emery paper so run out of excuses. Where's my motivation gone? OK I'll try for 5 minutes.9

Mumtomany and Pigpen. I love to hear about your lovely big families. There is just me and DH here now plus one very old dog. DS1 turns up when he feels a bit fragile and needs some time with his Mum or the heating has broken at work again or there is some other unspecified reason. DS1s GF also drops in and out randomly.
Cycled to work. It was freezing, there was a headwind and it was drizzling when I came home, but I didnt spend anything on diesel. Posted Ebay parcels and ordered prescriptions.
Work meeting to do next but its a Zoom one so thats OK. Bedding washed and partly dried outside, need to put clean washing away.
Round I missed the bit about Sweetie being poorly, glad its nothing serious - we really are one big random oddball family here arent we? x

YL.. I'm having a horrible week.. right now I wish it was just me and Pudding.. I am so fed up.
Twinkle has had blood tests for pretty much everything. The consultant thinks she either has rickets.. yes I know!!!!! or celiac disease... I'm not sure which is worse!!! but he tested for every thing.. kidney function, liver, thyroid, FBC, bone density, cancer markers, heart issues, osteoarthritis..
I am so done with it all.

YL - he's only a little bird, but to all intents and purposes he is my SO. I was beside myself thinking he was going to die and there was nothing I could do to help him. Thank you for being glad it's not serious ❤
piggers - I hope all the tests come back clear and Twinkle is fine. Tiny but fine. What a week you're having. Sending love and hugs and you know my inbox is open if you want to rant / vent / unload. ❤
iona - love and hugs heading your way too. ❤
Back to the paid stuff for me tomorrow. Aiming for a PMA - and an acceptance that I can only do my best. 🤷♀️
Received letters this week to say rent's going up from 1st April. As is leccy. I expect gas, water and CT will too. And with the rise in NI being the equivalent of a pay cut as far as I'm concerned and reintroduced prescription charges for over 60s - is that definitely happening? I'll need to take mse frugality very seriously. Sigh.
Now where is my PMA? 🤔😁
Hugs

Well done on cycling in YL xx
Piggers sorry it’s such a rough week for you, if I can help at all just say xx
Mumtoomany - I also love hearing about your family and really enjoy your posts generally xx
Chickens and ducks tucked away for the night, as are the children. I’ve made packed lunches and tidied the kitchen after a fashion. Need to make a very clever meal plan for the next few days as aiming to spend absolutely nothing until Monday. I need bread but a friend is trading me a loaf of homemade bread for six eggs - win/win. Finished my book today and have nothing else to read, the library is shut for training tomorrow and Friday so I’m a bit stuck! Must stay away from Amazon...

I wish the fl bus was real, it would be driven to Pigpen's, she would be loaded on board and taken away for a bit to rest.Beach walk done it was very cold and foggy down there, loads of cliff falls, found a few fossils, and a couple of hag sotne, these are suppose to be lucky.OH back from working away, he is very tired, but will sleep well tonight.Dinner doneCat in, much to their annoyance, they are becoming very cheeky, now they are growing in confidence.Hugs all roundBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I hope Moomin is feeling better Piggers, and that things calm down for you really quickl; *peaceful vibes* heading your way(((Hugs))) YL and Dizzy.Peaceful and quick balancing and finished those wretched accounts Ionafan, together with some healing vibes for Mr Ionafan. Yes, it's a responsibility you probably don't want, but as you can now recognise the signs that indicate it's time to call the ambulance again it's probably something you are more experienced dealing with than some junior doctors. I found administering bigger doses of morphine when required to my father more of a relief than an onerous responsibility once I got my head around it.Ma'am that house is beyond beautiful, a work of art in fact, and is also very obviously sparkley clean. *envy*Shower room sparkled, lodger's play attended for press night because his gf couldn't get here but will see it this weekend. He's worked incredibly hard and also fulfilled a commitment to run 100km in February for an ovarian cancer charity - we've donated, obviously. I've never known an actor do anything like that during rehearsals for a new play. I'm in awe. He's also a lovely bloke to have around the house. We celebrated a birthday lunch with a friend today. Belovéd had a stroke of total genius this morning before we went - he nipped out to the local sewing shop, bought a metre each of blue and yellow ribbons and twisted them into the same shape as the breast cancer ribbons people wear at the appropriate time of year and fixed them with safety pins. We all wore them at the lunch and I'll be wearing mine from now on when I'm out and about. I'm blown away by the awesome courage of the Ukrainians.Better is good enough.8

'period' swimsuit purchased.. weird little contraption.. but we will see how well it holds up.. the price of them though !!
Dinner done..pack ups not done..Dot in full on meltdown.. I may be forced to bin her!
Twinkle really tired and antagonising her.
Round.. I am rather hoping the bloods show up something because I need her to be fixed.. she is constantly ill and tired and in pain with her legs. Oh.. she has a wart on her thumb.. in nasty virus got in to her skin when she has been chomping on it so it is in part her own fault. DS1 had a wart on his elow when he was about 14.. he bit it off.. I don't know how either, I think he sliced it off in all honesty.. and cauterised it with a hot spoon.. I'm not sure what to do with hers.. not that, I know not that!!!!!
ASB.. thank you! I could do with someone to cook dinner a couple of times a week.. I have had a bag of mini eggs for dinner because I can not face eating actual food.. again.. I need to get the SC out.. I will do that tomorrow.. Gammon can go in.. I think I need some time off so we can just be ladies who lunch and I'm good with that.
email sent to electrician who was supposed to come on Monday and didn't..text sent to roof guy about my gutter which is still leaking.OH still in the doghouse.. he hasn't even attempted an apology.. and the longer he leaves it the angrier I'm getting.. It's not even about the money.. it is the fact he lied to me. It was a true CF move.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8
