Morning all. @pigpen I often think our lives are similar. More children than is sensible, some still at home, some left, grandchildren, and knitting. I also have an OH still being trained, even after being together 47 years!
Just finished off the pancake mixture for breakfast between DD1 and I. Need to start loading the dishwasher. I also want to get some more weeding done in the polytunnel, did a bit yesterday. Must try to photograph my mum's doll. I was going to throw it away. It is in seven pieces and looks like rubbish. Mum gave it to DD1, who said get rid of it. Mum is not much liked by any of her children or grandchildren! But looking on eBay it may be worth a few pounds.
Also got more knitting to sew up. I knit in the evenings while watching telly, but have to sew things up in natural light. Might try and write a few more pages of my book too, did half an hour yesterday before a grandchild needed the computer. May even try to tidy up a bit if i find time.

mind you the 1st one was untrainable so I had to let him go, good job as well. This one is lovely, but so untidy, just dumping stuff about, sort of solved the problem by having a large plastic storage container, when his stuff is everywhere, I just dump it in the container and leave it, I am more than sure some of the stuff lives in there for ever never to be found again, but I don't throw his precious bit of till receipts from about 10 years ago out, but they are no use what so ever...................

OH is still in the dog house.. tea will still not fix this.. which is what I growled at him yesterday lol... he won't discuss things with me to sort anything out.. but I wn't back down until I have an apology an a new tap.. yes this is over a tap.. not just any tap... a fancy dancy waited years for tap and was excited about getting then when it came to the crunch he got all miserly and selfish.. he doesn't pay for a single thing to do with the house.. so paying for the gutter fixing to keep out pigeons and leaks and then a tap was clearly just too much.. but he has lived herer since 2009 it's not like it's been 5 minutes!!.. anyway.. V!nted will get me the money and he can buy £1500 (tap is £849 but had 10% off until 28th) worth of comics and jelly babies and I don't care.. but my forgiveness is very hard to get.. I do hold a grudge... this is strike 2 for him...
Dot away to her trip.. I think school should really have discussed anything additional they needed to be aware of before today.. like the fact she will jump in ANY water they see.. puddles, duck ponds, moats, reservoirs ... and if something is interesting she is out of there to look at it.. she has a handle on her bag and I hold that usually but she will slide out of the bag if you're not quick.
Looking a bit glum to be hanging out laundry.. I might give it a whirl anyway..
I will neck these meds and find clothes and head to the nail fixing appointment, I have 4 off now.. this is not good.

YES.. Mine has a lottery ticket from 2004... it wasn't a winning ticket or the first he bought.. it's just..a ticket.. receipts for EVERYTHING!!! bags and boxes of utter dravage and grot.. the drama when I made him bin his broken stinking mouldy old work boots.. the wrappers and plates and mugs left everywhere.
I'm far from tidy.. but he is so much worse. I don't pretend for one secnd I am Madam Perfect.. my corner is a bear pit.. and the side of my bed is a mess and I am a bit of a hoarder.. mainly wool and 'between size' clothes.. both of which time is dealing with.
We all know how the first one went here.. CF does NOT stand for 'childrens father' that is the fact.. lol
Iona.. you are the absolute best person to be in charge of that medication.. you can see when things are going downhill and you know what you can handle at home and an ambulance wait can be a really long time and you can save his life with that medication.. you know him well enough to know when he needs it.. I would trust you implicitly to know when the time is right. xxx

Morning all xx
Very grey here this morning. But I'm not going anywhere so it doesn't matter.
I spent most of the night patrolling WAC. So a quiet day at home yawning is on the cards 😴
Fayolle - Sweetie slowly recovered as the day went on. He's sleeping a lot and is quieter than usual but he's drinking, eating and pooping....so 🤞he'll be ok.
I'm up, made my bed, opened the windows upstairs, and supped my first brew. I've been using this quiet time to try and get my head back into a better place. I didn't tell anyone that I had a couple of days off work so I haven't had to people at all. Hermits R Us 😉
Anyhoo I've decided to stop watching the news - I never used to watch it as I know it drags me down but recent events in Europe have pulled me in. I need to watch less TV of any kind and play less tetris. Maybe I'm coming out of hibernation?
Plenty to do here still. Tempted to contact Nick Knowles and ask for his help, but I think I have too much floor now to qualify 😁
Sorry I'm rambling. Trying to find my way out of this fog / funk.
Round 1
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
WUDUPA x 2
Laundry is up to date. Keeping on top of the basic stuff is key. And I still smile at the lack of rammel under the kitchen table. I can do this......I think I'm tidal. Time to stand still, end the ebb, and restart the flow.
I can feel the flylady zing waking up again. 😍
Love to you all. Take care. Stay safe.
Don't forget how amazing you are.

Morning all
list is up
welcome new flyer (moonflower?)
i may have overshared how stressed I was at work (and I'm not the only one) and the acting head came to find me and check up on me which was nice. I am fine, just fed up with the sheer relentlessness of always having an unfinished to do list.
and I've got to plan history activities/lesson on local history...for Year 1. I've previously done that for Y5. With not much in the way of resources or sources. I have got copies of the census of 1881 and 1851... with careful editing I suppose they could be used. Actually I have just had 2 ideas...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning lovelies, I'm late this morning but lots done
Bed made, clothes picked up
Friends daughter collected from the airport and she's now wfh here before I drop at the station tonight (saved having to take an extra days holiday for her)
Another friend joining us for lunch
Parcel (that's been loitering in my car for 2 weeks) dropped at the drop off point
Few essential bits of shopping done
Car filled up
DW emptied
Lounge cushions sorted
Neighbour chatted to
Banking and spreadsheets checked
I'm another one for not watching too much TV, I get much more done if I put music on during the day, and am even thinking about trying audio books as I used to loved Radio 4 play of the day. Also better for my mood and spirit. Our normal routine is read news in English on internet in the morning with a cuppa and then watch French news on TV in the evening. I have English radio on during the morning but swop to music when it gets too talky. I'm not ignoring what's going on but am not going to let it take over my life.
Hugs to you all.8 -
Thank you pigpen xx
Valli, Have you looked here? Do PM me if you want any other bits and pieces that might fall into my in-tray from genealogical and other sites. Things like jobs / tools / clothing / homes / the Big House v little cottage in the village come to my mind, especially comparing to what we do / wear / use / live in today. I used to love teaching local history.
I have phoned various people about DH's upcoming medical appointments which he won't be able to attend.
I have eaten breakfast.
My gardener is here, so I need to transfer some money to him before I forgot. I also need to pay a church bill, but I've mislaid the log-in device for that bank. It must be here somewhere... [shuffles off to sort through piles of paperwork...]7 -

DW finished, needs loading again. Some knitting sewn up, while i had coffee. Fridge door sorted. It's not closed properly for about a month! I think it's been moved and the floor is so uneven it stopped it closing. OH fixed it, told you he was getting trained, only a month of asking. Might venture outside now.

Hi ladies
What a contrast to yesterday’s weather - it is wet, cold and grey here today. I lit the fire mid morning and have been quite lazy finishing my library book - bliss. I am going to the library tomorrow to get a new stack of books.
Piggers - £25/£200 so far on the March challenge xx
I have a load of washing drying by the fire, and it is freezer surprise for tea - pizza for the children and some LO curry for me.
I’ve just been out to collect the eggs but one of my ladies is sat on them laying so she pecked my hand and said come back later 😂😂
Take care all xx
