That’s a bit different from being told you weren’t allowed the loan. Which is it?julie_gary said:i was on uc so i didnt bother asking for one and there wasn't a link to get oneAll shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

it was a full time and im over 21 ii have my own house0

I don't believe having your own house makes any difference.
You still haven't clarified whether you were declined or whether you didn't apply.
If you want to check whether you would have been eligible, as per your work coach request, then you could use this calculator and put your circumstances at the time into it.
Student finance calculator - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

So you didn't apply for a maintenance loan when you were at college
Did you claim UC when you were at college?

OP has said they were on UC so didn't bother asking for a maintenance loan. Drip feeding information here, isn't helping us to give any advice. I don't understand why a maintenance loan wasn't available. OP which course exactly were you doing?julie_gary said:i was on uc so i didnt bother asking for one

management practice and advanced techniques theatrical and media make-up level 4 when i was on the phone i asked about the mainatence loan and he replied no we dont give them out its on the gov website and can't understand why uc haven't looked to check it up0

It is true the educational establishments do not give out loans. They are provided by government through Student Loan Company which is what they meant by it’s on the gov website.
If you were eligible for a loan then UC will treat you as receiving a loan even if you did not take one.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
this is the point i wasn't eligible for the loan0

Was loan to pay for your course from Student loan Company? Did you use the calculator previously posted to see if you were entitled to any maintenance loan? If you haven't then you should do that and put in your details as they would have been at the time you were a student. https://www.gov.uk/student-finance-calculatorIf you were entitled to one then UC are correct by saying you now owe them money.
