If there was a maintenance loan available to you, regardless of whether you took that loan or not, it will affect the amount of UC you're entitled to. Was there one available to you?

need to apply.Though why would you
not be allowed one? If you qualified for fee loan you would qualify for Maitenance loan.0 -

The majority of students in further education have a student maintenance loan, which they need to apply for from student finance. https://www.gov.uk/student-finance/who-qualifiesjulie_gary said:i wasn't allowed to have oneWhy weren't you allowed a maintenance loan?

You’ll be eligible for a Maintenance Loan if your course is in the UK and one of the following:
- a first degree, for example BA, BSc or BEd
- an Initial Teacher Training course (if it’s degree level or above)
- an integrated master’s degree
- a Foundation Degree in dental hygiene and dental therapy
- a DipHE in dental hygiene and dental therapy or operating department practice this is not one of mine

I think you may need to clarify if the course was advanced or non-advanced, part time or full time.
Can the college help with this?
What reason have UC given you for reducing your monthly payments?
I would suggest seeing if your local advice agency can help you?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
If it was full time non advanced education, were you under 21 and living with parents?
