Parking Ticket in Supermarket Car Park

I recently got a parking ticket in my local supermarket. There is a 2 hour limit and I was 2 hours 10 minutes. I had a disabled person with me and they had their blue badge on the dashboard which allows 3 hours parking. There used to be a person going around the carpark making sure no one broke the 2 hour limit but in the last few weeks unknown to me they have installed cameras. I have spoken to the supermarket about this and they have told me its nothing to do with them and contact the company that sent me the fine. Anyone else had similar problem.

You will have to deal with the parking enforcement company. Send a photo of the blue badge to back up your claim, but also check signage in the car park as they may not allow 3 hours for blue badge holders.

And on here you should post on the Parking tickets sub-board, and read the sticky posts in case your situation is already covered.4

The blue badge doesn't grant you anything in a private car park, you are subject to the rules of the private car park.
As above go to the parking board and read the announcement threads pinned at the top to find advice and then post on that board if you need more help.1 -
Tell the manager of the super market its all to do with him, show him a copy of the badge and the shopping receipt and tell him you will sue him under the disability act,cc his head office.
It worked for me, i was told the same and i explained while his company was paying the parking idiots, they were responsible.you will got np sense from the parking company.
All in writing and keep copies.3 -

Disabled people aren't exempt from rules put in place to manage private car parks.1 -

Disabled people aren't exempt from rules put in place to manage private car parks.I was under the impression that all businesses (including supermarkets and parking companies) do have a legal obligation under the Equality Act to make changes or adjustments to their rules and processes to ensure that disabled people are not discriminated against. So for example if a non-disabled person is allowed 2 hours free parking then a disabled person (where the disability means they will be slower than a non-disabled person) would/should be allowed say 10 minutes extra etc.Every generation blames the one before...
