Avro to Octopus switch problems
Hi is anybody else still waiting for their Avro to Octupus switch to be sorted. I was switched 26/9 under the SOLR arrangement and am still waiting for my data transfer from Avro and as a result haven’t had a bill from Octopus! My Calcs show a £1200 bill is coming my way but who knows when?? My issue is compounded that I switched to Avro just before it went bump so they didn’t actually supply as my move was 30/9 4 days after Avro went bump!!

I think there might be quite a few of us still waiting.1

My timeline is almost the same as yours - I moved to them 24 hours before they went bust. My switch to Octopus completed a few weeks ago, and I assumed I was one of the last! I got my final statement from Avro (in credit) which was netted off my first bill from Octopus.
There were 580,000 Avros customers I think, so has taken them a while to sort it all out, and situations like yours are perhaps the most complicated.2 -
The info page has not been updated since 15th Jan and then it was around 50K to 58K of customers still to switch.
The problem seemed to be that Avro never charged me for any Electricity in the 3 days I was with them since moving from Green. I provided all the info for them to complete the move from Avro to Octopus 8 days ago in the way of Statements from Green, Avro and a cheque from Shell which proved they accepted my Electric reading. Been providing reads to Octopus since 1st Nov but its like we don't matter to Octopus.

I didn't think my situation was that complex but what do I know!
EDF has my closing reading.
I was never actually "with" Avro so no readings required.
I have a credit balance with Avro.

Thanks for the feedback sadly feels better knowing I’m not the only one! I have offered my final bill from EDF which is to 30/9 to prove the no supply from Avro but they’re not interested. Did think about Ofgen but looks like they’re palming everyone onto citizens advice. Here’s to a huge bill and increasing prices, just hope it’s sorted before April!!2

In the same position as yourself, effectively my start date was after the date Avro went bust. So fairly easily, you'd think they could work out what the usage was from the last date of supply, from my previous supplier. Anything beyond meter reading xyz would be charged to Octopus, should be simple.
Had nothing back from them every time they just say to contact us again in 4 weeks if you've heard nothing, to which you get the same message 4 weeks later. The lack of clarity is somewhat disconcerting.

I was in the same situation and finally got my update and bill a couple of weeks back. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I' m in the same boat, I was due to start with Avro on 1 Oct but they went bust on the 26th Sept. I've had my refund from Igloo/EON Next using meter readings dated 1 Oct. I've given the same reading to Octopus as I've been unable to enter it on the Avro site. I've been providing readings to Octopus every month since. My Avro account shows £51 DD payment taken on 22 Sept. Would have thought this was easy to sort as never really started with Avro (administrator could just Xfer payment to Octopus), but what do I know.1

Hi all
Quick update after bombarding Octopus with emails and asking for contact details of somebody senior. I sent my last EDF bill (my actual last supplier as Avro went before TX) and octopus have accepted those readings so I now know what’s owed. Have now just sent a pdf of my DD to Avro hoping this will push the credit due along - here’s hoping. Will update if it works but could be worth a try for those still suffering!1 -
It looks like those of you who switched but completed after the SoLR appointment date are one of the last cohorts to be dealt with. Can certainly understand the frustration, but it does seem likely that you are all close to the end now as all the larger groups seem to have been handled at this point, so hopefully not long to wait.0
