I am asking because my wife does not and has received the letter posted above in this thread, whilst I actively do (rewards account, DD, monthly salary and other incomes circulated into and out, Debit Card used regularly, etc), have a call once a year from my Personal Banker from the branch, and have yet to receive the letter. The physical branch is closing, and that is for sure, but I was wondering if some customer profiles will receive a letter with different informations at a latter stage?I also bank with Drummonds and have their branded Debit card. The branch was completely refurbished within the last 2 years, so hopefully they stay open for the time being.0 -
The more I think about it, it is more than likely the plebs will be moved to standard RBS and the private customers will keep the branch. RBS design isn't too bad anyway I won't mind much,1

There will be a reason customers on 15-80-00 have received a branded debit card, that reason has nothing to do with the notional address the bank account is held at - otherwise customers on 16-00-11 would have also received it.0 -

If you have one of the Child & Co branded accounts, but don’t qualify for private/wealth banking do you get any additional benefits, or is it just the branded cheque book and debit card etc?
when I met the eligibility criteria for Barclays wealth and moved from Premier, they opened a new current account as part of the process on the 20-47-47 sort code (Barclays wealth / Mayfair), but also migrated my existing current account. There’s a few extra perks like little book of wonders, and you also get a much lower overdraft rate (5.6%), and £1k interest free instead of £500.0 -

I am interested in your comment about migrating your existing account: are you saying that they also changed your old sort code and now have two wealth accounts or simply that your old premier account now comes under the wealth management team (as well as having a new Wealth Account)? My understanding was that Barclays Private and Wealth customers’ account information are not fully visible by the standard retail team (e.g cannot see balances etc)0 -

My understanding was that Barclays Private and Wealth customers’ account information are not fully visible by the standard retail team (e.g cannot see balances etc)When I joined wealth I still had to go through rigorous KYC checks etc, even as an existing Barclays customer. As part of the setup process a wealth current account was created, as it’s required to fund any investment products you open.Once I was setup, they were able to migrate my existing premier current account over and convert it to a wealth account. The sort code remained the same, but all subsequent statements etc are now branded wealth. The migration process automatically generated a new wealth branded debit card.
As a wealth customer when you log into online banking you are connected to Barclays One portal which is more geared to your investments, there is a link from here that opens the regular online banking if you want to manage your current account.
In addition your personal banker for your investments, you also get a general wealth client services number who can deal with any general banking issues or requests with your current account. They answer very quickly but only operate during normal office hours, if you call outside of this time your call is routed to the premier team - who can see your accounts but not make any changes. They can cancel cards etc, but if you have any other requests they route them to the wealth team to deal with during office hours.1 -

I think they are going to shove retail customers back over to RBS retail.
I am surprised you got a Drummonds debit card as was believed retail customers didn't receive one. Can you post a picture of it? I may try and go for one.
Just in regards to Barclays, when I held a standard current account with them, they accidentally put me on the premier brand (without the benefits)1
