It may have been touched on before, but is it possible to stay within the savings allowance if interest is paid monthly.
£50,000 to save @ 4% = £2,000 annual interest (£1,000 to be taxed)
Or
Oct 22 - March 23 = 6 months = £1,000 interest (no other interest this year) No tax
April 23 - Sept 23 = 6 months = £1,000 interest. No further interest. No tax
Does this make sense and is it applied in that way?
If so, 4% looks to be my 1 year sweet spot as I originally thought.0 -
