 I got the 'fully subscribed' message too this morning, but (re)tried a few times, and it 'became available' again!

define small - you mean £1 ? I sent £500 through at 2pm yesterday and was in there this morning.

Yes I always send a tester of around a £1 , maybe wait a bit longer or up to £500 if that is the min.I know most banks accept a tester but a few don’t.

Yes, I sent £1 and it came back. I've now sent £500 which is the min to fund the account as per the terms.

Ok thanks very much , Newcastle obviously don’t accept the small deposit. I’ll up to £500.

Sent £500 yesterday and nothing showing yet. The account isn't even showing online when I log-in. 

One of the terms from Newcastle BS state you can only make deposits while the account is current issue. Wonder if they'll allow people to still deposit now it has been withdrawn?

The T&C will tell you.
Most usually give 14 days from account opening.
