I applied for Kent 1 year bond at circa 2330hrs yesterday and AER is showing as 4.27% - is this correct based on others experience?
Thought I was just in time to get the 4.51% and Term end date says 18 Dec 20260 -
I have issue 17 and it shows 4.51% aer and 4.42% gross. I have monthly interest optionMurielson said:I applied for Kent 1 year bond at circa 2330hrs yesterday and AER is showing as 4.27% - is this correct based on others experience?

Mine says issue 18 so guess missed by a day or so. Never mind, just wanted to know if I was able to argue the toss with KR if someone in similar situation had gotten the 4.510

I opened a 2-year fix issue 26 this morning before they took it down and it's still coming up as issue 26 and the opening email confirmation also states issue 26 - I haven't funded it so no rate appearing. If you opened your 1-year fix last night and your opening email confirmation states issue 17 then they should really honour it... I'd get in touch with them...0

We also grabbed the Kent fixed bond (issue 17), now looking for a 30-day window to deposit funds - Vanquis at 4.2 monthly for one year looks good, or with the media talk about 2% BoE base rate next year (ouch!!) maybe a 2 year fix is better with a monthly 4.14%!0

Has anyone else had a problem applying for the Kent one year fixed bond? I applied early this week and all seemed to be going well until the next morning when the statement from within the last three months was rejected as the detail don't match. They definitely do. Anyhow, I thought I'd try with a statement from a different bank, the outcome was the same and it was rejected for the second time. I hoped it would be third time lucky, unfortunately it wasn't to be, and now the entire application has been rejected and they can't offer me an account.0

I've no experience with Kent @Metrocammell - but did have a recent such mismatch elsewhere because my account was in the name 'Frederica Bloggs' but the bank card I was trying to use was 'Mrs F. Bloggs' and it rejected another that was 'F.L. Bloggs'. It couldn't seem to consolidate that it was one and the same person. So it might be as simple as exactly how it's written on the relevant accounts.
My son had all sorts of issues when he lived in a flat - no.3 in a large divided house - transpired after a lot of digging, that the database that places use to match such things had his address as 'apartment 3'.1 -
Kent Reliance
Applied for 1 year Fixed rate Thursday afternoon. Got confirmation of email address and user name then screen said application complete and will get e mail with account details. No email received and rang today. Apparently application glitch and requested to send screen shot of page stating application complete. Really hope they sort this out quickly and they honour the application giving me issue 17. 🤞0 -
Just got off the phone with KR and they informed me that rate changed from 4.51% to 4.27% at 5pm on 17th Dec. therefore my application late on 17th went in at 4.27%
Asked why not at 2359 etc (change of date) as might normally happen and was quoted that they can change rates at any time and they went for 5pm in this instance. I have funded the account now but asked if this can be withdrawn if need be and was told yes during 14 day funding period so will now have a look and either let it ride or withdraw if I can find a more worthwhile vehicle0 -
I think Kent is only 14 days to fund?bucksman said:We also grabbed the Kent fixed bond (issue 17), now looking for a 30-day window to deposit funds - Vanquis at 4.2 monthly for one year looks good, or with the media talk about 2% BoE base rate next year (ouch!!) maybe a 2 year fix is better with a monthly 4.14%!I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0
