I've got a couple  of fixed rates ending in Nov so watching the trends though obviously it is too early to know
what will be available, however for further speculation,  don't think this has been posted (apols if it has)
may come to nothing but ...

Also on the NS&I 2 year Guaranteed Growth Bond - am I right in thinking with NS&I you don't have the usual 14 days to fund but have to fund when you open ? I've looked on their website but can't see anything - it's just a vague bell ringing from before :*

I'm going to have the funds available in about 10 days time, so with rates generally going down, was looking to lock in the rate for then.

    TIA
Ybs 6% 1 year fixed maturing?
Ex Sg27 (long forgotten log in details)

Massive thank you to those on the long since defunct Matched Betting board.

I believe you have to deposit there and then, upon opening:

I agree it's not overly clear on their website. You could try contacting them:

"Call us any time on 08085 007 007 or tweet us @nsandihelpand we'll be happy to help. We're here in the UK all day, every day. Calls from the UK are free. We may record your call to help us give you the best service."

Has anyone opened a fixed or notice account with United Trust Bank recently that can share ease of opening etc or any other thoughts?
opened a fixed 2yr isa last month, very easy to open and the app works too ! all done in a few hours.
If it was very easy to open then why did it take several hours?

Oxbury's 3 month fixed rate account is now on issue 2, paying 5.00% AER. Issue 1 (NLA) paid 5.12% AER.

That's because not everyone equates difficulty with length of time.

I keep reading about established YBS members being asked to go through ID checks and wondered if there is a commonality? Are people mistakingly or not selecting non-UK for some of the tax & residence questions?

I've got a couple of fixed rate accounts with them (2/3 year), plus easy access (Freedom) and 95-day accounts. Found them very good. Next day service to withdraw from Freedom account. app available which I mainly use to check balances. 2/3 year products seem pretty tempting at the moment.
