I see Ford Money have dropped off MSE and appear to be down to 5.85% for both 1 and 2 Year  - pleased i got in on the 6.05%
I just noticed that and was coming to post.  I have a fix elsewhere about to mature and decided to get ahead of myself last month, so borrowed some EA funds that I don't need yet and took a Ford fix at 6.05%, thinking they might be heading downwards.  Turned out to be a good decision - although not a massive gain.   Even when this fix matures, putting it back into EA at 5.2% is already going to increase my return on those pennies - originally fixed at 3.15%.

Just locked in 1 year Ahli United Bank UK via Raisin thats on the front page here, not funded yet will see what happens on the 3rd Nov, might also look into putting something in 2 years fixed as well

  • Does anyone have the formula for working out AER for terms of between full years (such as 18 months), but compounding on an annual basis?

in the process of opening a rasin account at 6.1% , I got the last page of signing up and it says
    Pledged deposit amount

     - if I put in the figure is taken straight away from my linked bank account or I am given time to make the deposit ( need to make some transfers ) but concerned the account will be pulled by tomorrow evening ?.
  • Raisin can't take any money from your linked account.  It isn't open banking.  Only when you have paid the full pledged amount in to your raisin holding account will it transfer to the fixed rate account.

You have 60 days to transfer the money - unless the rate is withdrawn, then you get 5 working days or something - so you might as well open one to lock in the rate.

Yeah, the 2 year's new, but they're both below the 6% that their 1yr fix was at until recently...

Investec used to be somewhere near the best rates - near enough that I didn't bother moving elsewhere most of the time - but they seem to have dropped off a bit lately.

Just received this , it's the 6.1% 1 year fixed

Thank you for choosing Raisin UK.

Unfortunately, the Ahli United Bank savings account you're applying for is no longer available through our marketplace.

Because you have an application in progress, you can still open this savings account at the interest rate you applied for. To secure your savings account, you must transfer your full deposit amount (in multiple transfers if needed) to your Raisin UK Account within five business days; otherwise, we will cancel your order

Cynergy 3 year fix at 5.95% reduced to 5.85%.
  • Does anyone know if upon maturity of a Dudley 1 year Bond, if the funds are moved the following day if requesting for the funds to be transferred to your nominated account and the account closed? All the email says is upon maturity which is today.
I have one maturing next month and tbh I don't know, I suspect it will be a 24 hour thing knowing the Dudley.
If its an issue I would give them a call if possible
The funds finally arrived in my account yesterday at 5.05pm. I phoned Dudley twice as was worried why it was taking so long and they doublechecked all the account info and guaranteed it would be in by 5pm. So they closed it the day after maturity (17th) on the 18th and funds arrived at 5pm on the 19th.
