Hi Chums
been hanging on to my cash this week and eating from the fridge and freezer.I was going to get a few bits today, but decided I would be better off doing the washing instead of going out and tomorrow I am going to see my sis-in-law Val
bless her who was so poorly back last year.
She had two tumours removed from her lungs and part of the lung removed in February
I spoke to her last night on the phone and they have found another tumour in her remaining lungbut she is being positive and will find out next Tuesday if it will be another op, or chemo and r/therapy.
She is my oldest friend and I have know her for well over 50 plus years, so I am driving up to London in the morning to see her and have a good chinwag.
So my shopping will be on hold now until probably Monday, but its not a lot anyway so nothing I can't manage without.
I wonder what the budget will be like next week ? its all very worrying for us all at the moment, but we shall battle onwards and upwards hopefully
Take care everyone and be safe

She's had such a tough life and things haven't been great for her, but she is always smiling and cheerful, she is the kindest hearted person I know.
She was there for me when I went through a hard time after losing my late husband, then getting breast cancer, and I shall be there for her as much as I can. I know the outcome isn't very good, and we have gone through such a lot together .Today will will be reminiscing about lots of things that we did over the years I expect. At least the sun is shining so the journey hopefully won't be too bad its only about 40 miles so about an hour depending on the motorway traffic

Sorry to hear this. At least they seem to have called off the motorway protests so I hope you do have a smooth journey and can spend your precious time togetherIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!10

Mr F and I donned our uniform and went to the service in town this morning lead by our SA Captain. Quite cold standing around but a good amount of people there. I did spend some money while out on milk and orange juice.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I went along to my local Act of Remembrance today. It's always difficult hearing the Last Post as we played it at my Dad's funeral. I also have a personal connection to both world wars with family serving, and in WW1 one family member dying on the first day of the Somme. It was a moving moment.Afterwards, as today is mine and DPs anniversary, I headed to the supermarket. He's had a really hard week, so I looked at what I had been making on swagbucks and decided I could treat us to a nice steak dinner. I also got some lovely loooking tomatoes from the market so whilst the griddle is out will grill tomatoes to go with it and we can make some chips as well. Whilst out I also popped into the Turkish supermarket and picked up a fresh loaf of bread and pitta bread. The pitta freezes brilliantly and is a good emergency option.

We always went to a Remembrance service when we were growing up. But then 5 years ago today daddy died. People shouldn’t be allowed to die on 11/11, because it’s like the whole world is in mourning. There’s no getting away from it and it’s just too hard.Forgive my brief foray into misery, it’s not my usual setting.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.22

My mother died on November 11th and then two years ago my father died on the 23rd so November is a sad month for us too.12
