Now the portal is out of the way I will not go back to that website and login in, only use it for "read only"

Now my focus is on putting together my defence.
Correct , defence , not Witness statement , not evidence

Whilst it may be handy for you to have copies of their letters , it's not essential at this time !

They may reply in time , they may not , but you have a definite deadline which you must not miss , regardless of the SAR reply , or lack of it in time ( if you received an LBC a month or two ago , it should have been done then , but no crying over spilt milk now , it is what it is ,CSO work around it , read other Court claim threads , see what they wrote , I would ! )
    Thank you RedX,

I do not have any copies of letters,

Yes, I will read other court claim threads and put something together for the forum team to offer me feedback on getting it right.
Most people don't , because they didn't receive them , or binned them , so you cannot complain or blame the parking company , but you defend against the particulars of claim , 90% of the defence is written for you already , by coupon mad , you have a deadline to meet , irrespective of any SAR reply , you cannot obtain extra time to wait for the SAR reply , nearly everyone else is in the same boat , but they seem to manage
Thanks RedX, I am now working on putting a defence letter together, yes coupon-mad is a great person. I aim to submit my defence by the weekend if all goes to plan.
I would not do that , I would do it nearer the 21st February , during the day on a weekday when they are open , no need to rush , you might get a SAR reply before Feb 21st ( so I would not submit it this weekend , or any weekend for that matter )

Do the SAR first, by email to the PPC, as explained in the NEWBIES thread but DON'T ask for a 30 day hold, as you are not at LBC stage.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have just discovered that DCBL and DCB legal are the same sister company and they sell the debt on to each other.

I had paid off a ccj in full to get it set aside 3 weeks ago january 2022 to DCBL and they sent the payment to excel parking.

I asked DCBL for a SAR and on the is the Parking ticket for the fine related to on this thread, the only difference is the letter was passed on to DCB Legal, so what they are doing is selling the debt to each other.

No they are not selling the alleged debt on to each other , I would not be making false accusations like that , it's an unreasonable assumption and not true , be careful what you allege or it could bite you on the backside !

The claimant parking company retains ownership of the alleged debt , they sign a contract with the DVLA and the DVLA has banned these companies from selling on the data , or alleged debt , to anyone

Dcb ltd and dcb legal are sub contractors , debt collector side and legal side , hired to obtain the money and pass it on to the claimant , so those 2 companies usually add Extra charges for themselves and just pass it from one desk to another desk , or change hats ! 😁

So nobody has sold on the alleged debt , if Excel was the parking company , or CEL , or UKPC , they retain ownership , period !

    Good point RexX, I agree

Thanks Coupon-mad yes I have emailed the PPC for a SAR again today, I also emailed DCB Legal for a SAR a few days ago.

I see thanks for clarifying Redx, in this case for this thread the carpark company is UK Parking control limited, thanks RedX

Then UKPC retain ownership and cannot sell it on !

They can hire debt collectors , usually on a no win no fee basis , plus hire lawyers , they can hire cleaners for the toilet's , catering staff for the staff canteen , graphic designers for a new logo , hire vehicles for their workers , etc

The cleaners haven't bought the loos , the chef's haven't bought the restaurant , the drivers haven't bought the vehicles , etc 😁

Stick to the tasks in hand , it's easier that way , plus making false accusations could cost you thousands in court , we already saw one happen during this pandemic ( Norma )
