Hi everyone,
I received a "Claim form" letter from Northampton business centre stamped 18 January 2022 with the claim number
it says the claimant is UK Parking control limited
the address for sending documents is DCB Legal ltd in Runcorn.
The particulars of the claim are for breach of the parking terms in 2018 -
The total amount is £296 amount claimed £200
So I emailed DCB Legal and UKP Control for a SAR on the 18th January - still no reply
In the mean time what do I need to do as the letter says you have limited time in which to reply to this claim form.
Thank you everyone, especially Coupon-mad.

That's nearly four three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.3 -
Hi Keith, Thank you for your input.
What does filled an Acknowledgment of service mean? Does it mean I had taken the correct steps to email UK Parking control and DCB Legal for a SAR? They have still not yet replied to my request.
I will work on the defence now and by Friday submit the defence,
So far I have not logged into the MCOL website. I have evidence in my email trail that I send an email requesting a SAR.

I think I understand you now Keith,
I have downloaded the dropbox screen shots of MCOL and registering to log inDo not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
If you could please explain why we should not file the defence on the MCOL portal. I have registered and have my login and password but have not actioned anything further.1 -

Also read the MCOL help advice on the government website , plus your claim pack , one of the forms is the AOS firm , but you must follow his instructions , login online on MCOL , follow the newbies guide from the newbies thread which walks you through the process with the Dropbox link
No point asking questions until you have done all this
Then do the AOS online , do not post anything
The SAR requests are in addition to following the MCOL process , but are not part of it , it should have been done long before the claim was issued , so you were playing catch up3 -
