I have not contacted the court yet.0 -
Sounds plausible. No N244 needed after all.Why didn't they just copy you into the 31st March email? Don't tell me they were hoping you'd just pay...surely they wouldn't. That cannot be the case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Would not surprise me if they did0

FYI the email was from the Litigation Manager.
What still gets me is how they still continue with their unreasonable conduct by saying:
” Thank you for your email of 7 April, the content of which we have noted. We do however deem the timeframe in which you have requested a response, to be unreasonable. Our offices were closed from 6th - 11th April for the Bank Holiday weekend.”
This despite the fact I originally emailed a week earlier on 31st March with my complaint. Yes I agree why not just copy me in on the email they sent to the court.1 -
Since the "legal" arm set up shop in 2017 and made bulk litigation their business model, right-thinking people might conclude that consumers appear to be the 'prey' of DCB.
Their website/office (the non-legal arm at least) has a lion image and talk of 'pursuit' of people. All the evidence we see here and on other forums, plus TrustPilot reviews from people dealing with DCB Group over unfair private parking charges supports the opinions vociferously expressed by MPs during the passage of the Knight Act in 2018.
IMHO an aim to be the top dog in 'bulk litigation' on behalf of greedy parking firms is a socially dangerous business ethic; dangerous to the wealth and health of average people who have been unwittingly caught in the clutches of a private parking firm and simply want justice.
One might conclude that serious and systematic consumer harm is the likely end result of business models and bulk litigators like this bunch, among an industry of "bloodsuckers" (Hansard 2018 - MPs' words about the bullyboy firms connected to the rogue private parking industry).
How dare they omit to tell you (the victim of a wrongful CCJ) what was happening? You could easily have wasted money on a N244 application, OR you might have panicked and paid them, all because they apparently couldn't be bothered to respond to your first email.
Yet they call YOU 'unreasonable'!
IMHO companies like this need reining in.

I’ve emailed them to let them know that I am amazed they still continue to be unreasonable in their behaviour.
ive also told them again I will be away now from 17th April 2023 until 6th June 2023. On my return, I hope to see an update from them on the response from the Court, an apology in writing and fair compensation offered for the stress they have caused and their unreasonable behaviour throughout this whole affair dating back to early 2022 for this wrongful claim.
