If you decide not to pay the £20 nothing will happen because you are in Scotland and you don't yet have the Keeper Liability law that we have in England.

However, that power for PPCs is coming into Scotland this year (won't be retrospective).  Things will be more difficult for people against PPCs after that, in Scotland, and some might start trying Scottish court claims.

Be aware not to fall foul of PPCs in future but you can ignore this one, apart from complaining to the factor/owner and telling them you wish to 'opt out' YOUR space from the thug enforcement.

There is NO FAIR APPEAL until the Governments set up the promised, independent Single Appeals Service.

Get yourself opted out of this 'enforcement' asap.  You don't have to show a permit for your space.

I see we did already tell you, because you are in Scotland, nothing will happen.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apart from one official clamping incident and whatever cost to one Estate resident, as written as example in Property Management news letter, this was maybe a year or two after parking went Permit and Managed as such.

thanks anyway, make no mistake I believe the company in question are going to blatantly Ignore all presented Evidence from honest Residents when the unexpected happens with Permit falling from windscreen etc.

Yes, but you can ignore them.  You are safe.  PPM will not pursue a single PCN in the Scottish courts.

Which solicitor?  South of the border?

What do you mean 'official clamping'?

Unless it was by the DVLA (or a bailiff after a case went thru the Scottish courts) that's been illegal in Scotland for maybe a couple of decades.

Clamping by the Parking Company, not sure why, it was described by property management as 'unfortunate incident' at the time.

Let me try cab etc one more time by tel from next week.

    thanks

The only difference is that CAB Scotland do get it (CAB England are useless).

I'd hope CAB Scotland are unlikely to be stupid enough to tell you to pay it (if the adviser does, tell them they are wrong and to read articles about private parking by CABS because they know the score).  Please tell us what they say and if they know about the new law and Code coming in?

The 'unfortunate incident' (clamping in Scotland) was illegal.  That's what the property management meant!  Their agent screwed up.  It will have cost the victim nothing.

I do not understand why you are ignoring the members who have replied.
ALL OF THEM have years of experience in the parking scam.
The CAB DO NOT ?   Infact, the CAB are dangerous for consumers in the great parking scam, they lack training and fail to understand a scam if they see one ?

Of course we cannot stop you wasting your time because that's what you will do by talking to the CAB

Your choice. the CAB have some good points but in the the great parking scam they are totally useless.

I also thought that the song "Scotland the Brave" applied to all Scots ? is that you ?

The advice is never to telephone anyone. Do everything in writing because a 'phone call is not worth the paper upon which it is writ.
