    @Dandytf, don't overlook this...
Get yourself opted out of this 'enforcement' asap.  You don't have to show a permit for your space.

    Excel Parking.
I've mistakenly gone past 20 pounds offer the  ppc website has reverted to 100 pounds.

Mistakenly?  I did say it won't matter because you can ignore this one.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Even more reason to ignore it.  But Scottish 'immunity' won't last much longer, when the Transport (Scotland) Act 2019 becomes fully operational in a couple/few months time.

Forget about paying, or anything like that as it could be seen as acceptance of the scheme which in turn can cause further issues down the line.

The information on immunity is as follows:

You said you purchased the flat years before the so called parking company started infesting the parking space(s) Check your lease/freehold agreement, forget about what any signs may or may not say, and/or what it may say on any permit.
what rights do you have to park / use the space car park ?
     that bit above is vital

Nest up, why haven't you got onto the management company about this? they are supposed to be working for you, and not appointing un-regulated parking companies to harass and pursue people using their own property.

Appeals are a waste of time, as you have discovered
and finally how long has the parking company been there for, and have you paid anything  for a permit at any point?

Let me call Property Management Company tomorrow.
I have right to Park as I own my flat in Property Estate -which includes use of Private Parking to residents.
I don't read Lease hold or Freehold info -think Scotland is Free Hold?
I'm not sure how many years parking company has been on site, let's guess 5 from my 2009 purchase.
i.i.r.c. i'm sure it's 10 pounds for renewing Parking Permit, not sure how often maybe every 3 years.
    thanks

'Immunity' is a turn of phrase. If the driver isn't identified, there is nowhere for the PPC to go in holding anyone else liable (PoFA doesn't currently apply in Scotland). Even if the driver was identified, to issue proceedings via the Sheriff Court for a claim under £300 would cost the PPC significantly more than any amount they would be likely to be able to win.

What are you planning on saying to the managemetn company?
you will need to read the information on the property - this is absolutely critical as you will need to use it in a complaint to the management company .
Plus - do not call, email them so you have a trail of communication .
As said the paperwork that comes with the property is vitally important here, if you have a right to the space  odds on you do, but you must let us know so appropriate advice can be given - but if you do then you must do the following things:
inform the managemetn company that they must call off their attack dogs
Inform the management company that you do not agree to the parking scheme, and you want them to refund the cost of a permit / permits ( if these had been paid for ) as they have mislead you into thinking that such a thing was needed
Inform them that you have only been displaying a permit as a courtesy

The deep/DP dance knows a bit more on PPCs and residential sites

I'd add in the words from the new Statutory Code of Practice (which applies in Scotland too) where it talks about parking management not being allowed to override the rights of residents.
