I think I have found my dress, just want my Aunts opinion. Wedding should be December 09.
Work like you don't need money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like no one's watching
Save the cheerleader, save the world!
  • I bought my a couple of weeks ago for May 2009 wedding. I didn't intend to buy it so early was only going to try on a few styles but it was a love thing! :j I've got some photos and look at them sometimes and the more I see it the more I can't wait to wear it!:j

lus to be honest it is making other decisions easier because lots of things need to go with the dress if you see what I mean!;)
  • At the risk of asking a question I'm frightened to hear the answer to - Should I be thinking about my Sept 2009 wedding yet then?!! I kind of thought a year would be enough?

    Am I wrong?

(I could ask this question on a wedding website, but suspect that the answer there would be from the 2011 with everything sorted brigade!!)
  • Well I haven't got everything sorted and I'm getting married in Oct 2008. I haven't chosen my dress yet and so many other decisions are based on that.

If you and flexible with dates and prepared to hold the wedding on a weekday then you can organise weddings within a short space of time. 2 of my friends got married this year. 1 organised the whole thing in 4 months and the other in 5. So it IS possible.

Everyone said to me that the most important thing to book first is the venue. So we booked the church and reception venue within the first 2 months of getting engaged. It was lucky we did as the venue we fell in love with only had 3 Saturdays left for 2008.

We tend to have bursts of time when we are doing wedding stuff and then have weeks where do don't do anything on it.

So far we have sorted out the following:

    Church
    Venue
    Photographer
    Cake
    Part of the entertainment

Just go at your own pace and do what feels right for you.

Well I found a shop that is selling it to me for £700 but I've seen it sold for £900...
Or keep an eye on Ebay depeding on how much time you have before your wedding. Only seen one so far on there but no doubt more will pop up with time!

In fact this site has even better pictures of the dress - and these are in the exact colours I have picked: Diamond white with diamond white trim. I was a little worried they wouldn't be visible having never seen the dress in that colour combo, but looking at these pictures I definitely picked right!

  • He proposed last month, I looked online, went to a few shops in my lunch hour and found a dress in TKMaxx after work one evening for £50. I think it took me about four days. We're getting married in July next year. Already got the shoes from New Look (£16 with a 20% off voucher) and I've got my eye on some accessories to get in the January sales.
  • Got a fabulous dress from Ebay...could not believe it cost £48.99.Then I went to a local bridal shop and saw one very similar for £500 in the sale.I was a bit reluctant to buy a dress from a cancelled wedding as I felt so bad for the jilted bride. But as my partner says, if it wasnt my bargain it would go to somebody else.

Now can afford fabulous honeymoon :)that I thought would never happen.
    Wedding in Dec 2009.
where is Narnia and how do I get there. That wardrobe salesman lied to me:D
